An important issue is how to prevent losses in livestock breeding and breeding. It is said that in animals including livestock, if the weight of the newborn born is lighter than the average weight of a normal newborn, the weight difference will not be eliminated if the subsequent eating environment is the same. ing. The problem of having newborns weighing less than the average weight of normal newborns, especially immature offspring, is also affected by the number of offspring in the case of multiple fetuses. In general, the greater the number of offspring, the greater the likelihood of immature offspring. The immature offspring can significantly impair the economic value of livestock. In addition, even if the birth is normal, the weight per pup is lower than the average weight of a normal newborn. Therefore, in order to restore the weight of such newborn babies to normal weight, it is necessary to provide a more nutritious feed, which contributes to a decrease in production efficiency.

In addition, as a means of preventing premature birth, drug prescription such as maintenance of pregnancy by hormone administration is mainly used,
Veterinary prescribing is required to administer drugs, and the costs involved are high. In addition, it is conceivable to prevent the delivery of premature babies or to promote the development of the fetus by feeding the mothers with feed. However, excessive feeding of nutrient-rich feed during pregnancy can actually result in childbirth accidents. There is also a problem that it is easy to occur, and at present, there is no way to find a method of promoting only the development of the fetus without affecting the mother animal. However, if the weight of the newborn is above the average weight of a normal newborn, there is no need to consider any losses in feed feeding, and by feeding nutritious feed, the economics of livestock It is clear that the value will be further increased.

Have been. This basic protein composition is characterized in that it contains a relatively large amount of basic amino acids such as lysine, histidine and arginine. It is known that this basic protein composition exhibits osteoblast proliferation activity and osteoclast bone resorption inhibiting activity, and has an action of strengthening bone by oral administration (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-151331). Gazette). on the other hand,
The present inventors have proposed a milk obtained by contacting milk or a milk-derived raw material with a cation exchange resin, having an isoelectric point of 7.5 to 11, and containing at least 10% by weight of a basic amino acid as a constituent amino acid. Derived basic protein composition has osteoblast enhancement promotion, bone strengthening and bone resorption effects, and it has been previously filed that it can be used as food and drink, medicine or feed (Japanese Patent Application No. 8-28459). However, the present inventors have further found that a milk-derived basic protein composition has an effect of promoting fetal growth in livestock feed, and have completed the present invention.

Focusing on the above-mentioned problems relating to the weight of newborn domestic animals, we have been conducting intensive research in search of substances that can promote fetal development by oral administration to pregnant mothers. By orally administering the above-mentioned basic protein composition to pregnant mothers, they found that the development of a fetus could be selectively promoted without difficulty in the mother and completed the present invention. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a fetal growth promoting agent containing a milk-derived basic protein composition as an active ingredient. Also, the present invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide a livestock feed that has a fetal growth promoting effect by incorporating a milk-derived basic protein composition. In the present invention, livestock refers to cows, horses, pigs, goats,

Is blended. This basic protein composition is known as described above, for example, after contacting milk or milk-derived raw material with a cation exchange resin, the fraction adsorbed on the resin is eluted with a salt concentration of 0.1 to 2.0 mol. The fraction obtained by elution with the liquid is heated at (i) 80 ° C. or higher, (ii) alcohol is added so that the final concentration is 10 to 50%, or (iii) the final concentration is 0.2%. The resulting precipitate is removed by any of the methods of adding salts until the concentration reaches 0.1 mol or more, and the supernatant is recovered, or the salt concentration described above is 0.1%.
The fraction eluted with ~ 2.0 mol of the eluate was subjected to a fractionation molecular weight of 30,000
It is obtained by recovering the solution on the permeate side by treating with the above ultrafiltration membrane and fractionating a basic protein fraction which is present only in trace amounts in milk, and has a molecular weight by SDS-polyacrylamide electrophoresis. A milk-derived basic protein composition having a distribution of 2,000 to 24,000 daltons and an isoelectric point of 7.5 to 11, preferably containing at least 10% by weight of a basic amino acid as a constituent amino acid . The milk for obtaining the basic protein composition of the present invention includes cow's milk, human milk, goat's milk, and sheep's milk. Skim milk, whey or the like may be used.

In addition, a basic protein composition is blended as a fetal growth promoting agent, and a livestock feed having an effect of promoting fetal growth is orally administered to pregnant mothers. Thus, the fetal growth can be promoted by orally administering the fetal growth promoting agent of the present invention or a livestock feed provided with the fetal growth promoting effect to a pregnant mother animal. And it can prevent the delivery of premature babies and contribute to weight gain of newborn babies. In addition, when administering a fetal growth promoting agent of the present invention or livestock feed imparted with a fetal growth promoting effect to a pregnant mother animal, the basic protein composition per day,
It may be administered in consideration of taking about 0.1 g / kg.
Further, in order to impart a fetal growth promoting effect to livestock feed by blending the basic protein composition, it is preferable to blend the basic protein composition in a livestock feed at a ratio of 0.1 to 1.0% by weight.
