Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling fan unit, which can be inserted into a ventilating duct with high workability and can be improved in cooling efficiency. SOLUTION: A cooling fan unit, which is inserted into a ventilating duct 2 of a enclosure 1 of a device from an opening 20 of the duct 2 and forcibly introduce and discharge cooling air to and from the enclosure 1, is provided with a rotating section 4 which holds an appropriate number of cooling fans 40 positioned in parallel with an appropriate number of cooling fans 30, held on the main body section 3 of the unit. Thus the fans 40 can send cooling air in the direction opposite to the sending direction of cooling air sent from the fans 30 and formed at the front end section of the main body section 3 holding the fans 30. The fan unit is inserted into the duct 2 by rotating the section 4 until the section 4 becomes nearly perpendicular to the main body section 3 from the inserted attitude, at which the section 4 is arranged in nearly a straight line with respect to the section 3 near the terminating position of the pushing-in stroke.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to the present invention, the above object is achieved by inserting a cooling air into a ventilation duct 2 from an opening 20 of the ventilation duct 2 of the apparatus housing 1 and pushing the cooling air into the apparatus housing 1. A cooling fan unit for forcibly introducing and exhausting air, and a front end portion of the main body 3 that holds an appropriate number of cooling fans 30 is pushed in parallel with and opposite to the cooling fan 30 on the main body 3. A rotating portion 4 for holding an appropriate number of cooling fans 40 having a blowing direction is formed, and the rotating portion 4 is inserted into the main body 3 from an insertion posture in which the rotating portion 4 is substantially straight with respect to the main body 3 near the end position of the pushing stroke. This is achieved by providing a cooling fan unit that is mounted in the ventilation duct 2 by being rotated to a mounting posture substantially orthogonal to the mounting position.
