の脆弱さがつきまとっていた。また、共板ダクトのフラ
ンジの四隅にコーナーピース3を連結する際、コーナー
ピース3の立上り片10と屈曲内側縁7で共板ダクトの
一角を直角に保とうとするのであるが、立上り片10の
共板ダクト管1に面接する部分が少ないので、一角が直
角に保てず、がたつく等の遊びが生じた。またこの傾向
は共板ダクトの一辺が長くなるほど顕著に現れる。また
4隅にコーナーピース3を連結した2つの共板ダクトを
接続する時に両共板ダクトのフランジに耐熱繊維質のパ
ッキン5を介在させボルトを対向する両方のコーナーピ
ースの孔14に通し、ナット締結するのであるが、図3
に示すような従来のコーナーピース3の構造の場合、ボ
ルトとナットを閉めていく過程で、図5のようにボルト
とナットの部分を力点18と見た場合、接続用板部9が
支点19となってフランジ側とは逆の金具頂点17が作
用点20になってしまう。そのため接続した両共板ダク
トのフランジ部分に隙間ができ、それを補正するため漏
気防止材を用いたり、新たにフランジクリップ6で締結
しなければならなかった。従来の共板ダクトのフランジ
には以上のようなコスト高、低施工性、低品質という欠
点があった。それらの欠点を解消した共板ダクトのフラ
