Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.セル内で再使用される割り当てられた無線周波数を有するセルラー無線ネッ トワークにおいて、 上記割り当てられた無線周波数は、継ぎ目のない全有効到達範囲を得るため に低い周波数の再使用が用いられる通常の無線周波数と、高いトラフィック搬送 容量を得るために高い周波数の再使用が適用される超再使用周波数とに分割され ; 少なくとも幾つかのセルは、少なくとも1つの通常周波数と、少なくとも1 つの超再使用周波数との両方を有し、上記少なくとも1つの通常周波数は、主と してセル境界領域にサービスするよう意図され、そして上記少なくとも1つの超 再使用周波数は、主としてベースステーションの付近にサービスするように意図 され;そして 上記少なくとも1つの超再使用周波数において推定される干渉により誘起さ れるセル内ハンドオーバーによって上記少なくとも1つの通常周波数と上記少な くとも1つの超再使用周波数との間でセルのトラフィック負荷分布を制御する手 段を備えたことを特徴とするセルラー無線ネットワーク。 2.通常周波数から超再使用周波数へのハンドオーバーの原因は、超再使用周波 数における干渉レベルが充分に良好なことであり、そして 超再使用周波数から通常周波数へのハンドオーバーの原因は、超再使用周波 数における干渉レベルが非常に悪いことである請求項1に記載のセルラー無線ネ ットワーク。 3.セルのBCCH周波数は、常に、通常周波数であり、そして通話設定又は別 のセルからのハンドオーバーの際に指定される無線周波数は、常に、通常周波数 である請求項1又は2に記載のシステム。 4.1つがBCCH周波数である超再使用周波数のみを有する少なくとも1つの マイクロセルを更に備え、マイクロセルにおける通話設定は阻止され、そしてセ ルラーネットワークは、マイクロセルの干渉レベルによって誘起されるセル間ハ ンドオーバーにより通常セルとマイクロセルとの間のトラフィック負荷分布を制 御する手段を備えた請求項1に記載のセルラー無線ネットワーク。 5.移動ステーション(MS)が、サービスセルの信号受信レベル及び隣接セルの信 号レベルを測定し、そしてその測定結果をセルラーネットワークのハンドオーバ ー制御手段に送るような移動助成ハンドオーバー手順を備え、 上記ハンドオーバー制御手段は、上記測定結果に基づいてサービスセルの超 再使用周波数における干渉レベルを推定する請求項の前記いずれかに記載のセル ラー無線ネットワーク。 6.サービスセルの各超再使用周波数に1つ以上の隣接セルが指定され、そして 隣接セルの測定された受信レベルは、上記超再使用周波数における干渉の推定に 使用される請求項5に記載のセルラー無線ネットワーク。 7.移動ステーションの測定結果は、限定された数の周囲セルのみに関連し、上 記周囲セルの中から少なくとも1つの基準セルがサービスセルの少なくとも1つ の超再使用周波数に指定され、上記基準セルは、超再使用周波数における潜在的 な干渉源であるが移動ステーションにより直接測定できない更に離れたセルと同 様の形式の干渉プロファイルを有し、そして上記ハンドオーバー制御手段は、基 準セルの測定された信号レベルを使用して、超再使用周波数において上記更に離 れたセルにより生じる干渉のレベルを推定する請求項5又は6に記載のセルラー 無線ネットワーク。 8.ハンドオーバーアルゴリズムは、基準セルと実際の干渉セルの信号レベルの 差を考慮して基準セルの測定された受信レベルを修正することにより干渉セルの 信号レベルを推定する請求項7に記載のセルラー無線ネットワーク。 9.セルラー無線システムにおいてトラフィック搬送容量を増加する方法であっ て、 セルラー無線ネットワークの無線周波数を、継ぎ目のない全有効到達範囲を 得るために低い周波数の再使用が適用される通常の無線周波数と、高いトラフィ ック搬送容量を得るために高い周波数の再使用が適用される超再使用周波数とに 分割し; 少なくとも幾つかのセルに、少なくとも1つの通常周波数と、少なくとも1 つの超再使用周波数との両方を割り当て、上記通常周波数は主としてセル境界領 域にサービスするよう意図され、そして上記超再使用周波数は、主としてベ ースステーションの付近にサービスするように意図され;そして 上記少なくとも1つの超再使用周波数において推定される干渉により誘起さ れるセル内ハンドオーバーによって上記少なくとも1つの通常周波数と上記少な くとも1つの超再使用周波数との間でセルのトラフィック負荷分布を制御する、 という段階を備えたことを特徴とする方法。 10.超再使用周波数が充分に良好な干渉レベルを有するときに通常周波数から超 再使用周波数へのセル内ハンドオーバーを実行し、そして 超再使用周波数が非常に不良な干渉レベルを有するときに超再使用周波数か ら通常周波数へのハンドオーバーを実行する請求項9に記載の方法。 11.各場合にセルのBCCH周波数として通常周波数を割り当て、そして 各場合に通話設定又は別のセルからのハンドオーバーの際に通常周波数を指 定する請求項9又は10に記載の方法。 12.信号受信レベル、好ましくはサービスセルの質を移動ステーションにおいて 測定し、 サービスセルの周囲のセルの信号受信レベルを移動ステーションにおいて測 定し、 測定結果を移動ステーションからセルラー無線ネットワークに送り、 測定結果に基づきサービスセルの超再使用周波数における干渉レベルを推定 する請求項9、10又は11に記載の方法。 13.サービスセルの各超再使用周波数に1つ以上の隣接セルを指定し、隣接セル の測定された受信レベルは、上記超再使用周波数における干渉レベルの推定に使 用される請求項12に記載の方法。 14.移動ステーションにより報告される測定結果は、限定された数の周囲セルの みに関連し、 上記周囲セルの中からサービスセルの少なくとも1つの超再使用周波数に少 なくとも1つの基準セルを指定し、この基準セルは、超再使用周波数における潜 在的な干渉源であるが移動ステーションにより直接測定できない更に離れたセル と同様の形式の干渉プロファイルを有し、そして 基準セルの測定された信号レベルを使用し、超再使用周波数における上記更 に離れたセルによって生じる干渉のレベルを推定する請求項12又は13に記載 の方法。 15.干渉レベルの推定において、基準セル及び上記離れたセルの信号レベルの差 を考慮して基準セルの測定された受信レベルを修正する請求項14に記載の方法 。
