Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.導体が電気的に成端される電気コネクタハウジングへの前記導体の取扱い及 び挿入を容易にするために複数の個別の絶縁被覆導体を整列すると共に接着する 方法であって、 (a)少なくとも2つの異なる平面に配列された前記複数の個別の絶縁被覆導 体を選定する工程と、 (b)前記複数の導体の端部を、第1治具上の共通平面において並列状態で配 列及び整列させる工程と、 (c)隣接する前記端部の絶縁被覆を接着し、取扱い及び成端を容易にするた めに一体リボン型ケーブルを形成する工程とを具備していることを特徴とする複 数の個別の絶縁被覆導体の整列及び接着方法。 2.前記接着が、熱、接着剤又はテープの集団から選定された工程によることを 特徴とする請求の範囲第1項記載の複数の個別の絶縁被覆導体の整列及び接着方 法。 3.前記接着が熱によると共に、前記絶縁被覆導体が最初に円形の形状をなし、 前記熱が前記絶縁の一部分の移動を通して前記形状を変化させることを特徴とす る請求の範囲第1項記載の複数の個別の絶縁被覆導体の整列及び接着方法。 4.前記熱が、前記治具に沿って配列された加熱要素から発生することを特徴と する請求の範囲第3項記載の複数の個別の絶縁被覆導体の整列及び接着方法。 5.前記導体の数が「n」であると共に前記加熱要素の数が少なくとも「n+1 」であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第4項記載の複数の個別の絶縁被覆導体の 整列及び接着方法。 6.導体が電気的に成端される電気コネクタハウジングへの前記導体の取扱い及 び挿入を容易にするために複数の個別の絶縁被覆導体を整列すると共に接着する 方法であって、 (a)前記複数の導体を第1治具上に並列状態に整列し、該第1治具が複数の 加熱要素を含み、各該加熱要素が前記導体の隣接する対の絶縁被覆に接触するよ うに配列される工程と、 (b)同様のデザイン及び機能を有する第2治具を前記絶縁被覆導体の反対側 にサンドイッチ状に整列する工程と、 (c)前記加熱要素に電流を供給して互いに隣接する導体の絶縁被覆の局所融 解及び接着を成し遂げ、これによって取扱い及び成端を容易にするためのリボン 型ケーブルを形成する工程とを具備していることを特徴とする複数の個別の絶縁 被覆導体の整列及び接着方法。 7.複数の個別の平行な絶縁電線を接着して前記電線の端部で一体リボンケーブ ルを形成する電線接着治具であって、該治具が、前記電線に圧縮して係合する、 1対の実質的に平行な誘電部材と、該誘電部材の対向する主面に沿って平行状態 に配列された加熱要素と、前記加熱要素を加熱して前記絶縁電線の一体部材への 接着を成し遂げる手段とを具備し、前記電線の数が「n」であると共に、前記加 熱要素の数が少なくとも「n+1」であり、内側の前記加熱要素が2つの隣接す る電線の絶縁被覆に接触していることを特徴とする電線接着治具。 8.リセプタクル型コネクタと嵌合し、複数の導体が内部で成端されて前記リセ プタクル型コネクタの対応するコンタクトと電気的に係合するプラグ組立体型の 電気コネクタであって、前記プラグ組立体が、導体受容端部、導体成端端部及び 前記各端部間を内部的に連通する通路を有する誘電ハウジングと、前記通路内の 離間挿入体とを具備し、該離間挿入体は前記複数の導体を受容すると共に前記プ ラグ組立体のクロストーク性能を改良するために前記複数の導体を配置し、前記 挿入体は上面及び下面を有し、該上面及び下面は前記上面及び下面に沿って配列 された複数の溝を有して前記導体の選定された対を受容することを特徴とするプ ラグ組立型の電気コネクタ。 9.前記挿入体が、前記導体成端端部に面する傾斜壁を有し、これによって前記 上面に沿う導体の前記選定された電線が前記下面に沿う導体の前記選定された対 に向かいかつ前記対間に向けられることを特徴とする請求の範囲第8項記載のプ ラグ組立型の電気コネクタ。 10.前記導体の自由端が、共通平面において平行に配列されると共に前記導体 成端端部で接着されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第9項記載のプラグ組立型の 電気コネクタ。
