Free N-acylaminocarboxylic acid
For producing N- and N-acylaminosulfonic acids
The present invention relates to free N-acylaminocarboxylic acids and free N-acylaminos
An aqueous solution of sulfonic acid is used from its alkali metal salt produced without using a solvent.
And an improved process for producing by precipitation.
N-acylaminocarboxylic acids or N-acylaminosulfonic acids, especially
An alkali metal salt of an acylaminocarboxylic acid, for example, N-acyl sarcosine acid
Salts are used industrially mainly by the corresponding acyl halides in aqueous alkaline environments.
Product with the base aminocarboxylic acid or alkali metal salt of aminosulfonic acid
It is produced by the Schotten-Baumann reaction. In some fields of use, NA
Silaminocarboxylic acid or N-acylaminosulfonic acid as free acid
Since they are advantageous to use, these are the alkali metal salts thus produced.
It is obtained from an aqueous solution by precipitation with a strong acid.
However, free N-acylaminocarboxylic acid or N-acylaminosulfo
DE-OS 2004099 for the production of acid acids
And in German Patent Application P 440 8957.0, alkyl carboxylates are mentioned.
Alkali metal of ester and base aminocarboxylic acid or aminosulfonic acid
Without the use of the corresponding, solvent, as described as being obtained by reaction with salts
Of the produced N-acylaminocarboxylic acid or N-acylaminosulfonic acid
When an alkali metal salt is used, free N-acylaminate using an aqueous acid solution is used.
Conversion to carboxylic acids or N-acylaminosulfonic acids is very problematic.
It turns out that. In this case, first, the alkali metal salt is dissolved in water,
Or at least it is necessary to carry out the conversion to the free acid afterwards.
it can. This presents difficulties because N-acylamino
An alcohol produced without using a solvent such as rubonic acid or N-acylaminosulfonic acid.
Lucali metal salts have extremely high viscosities, even at high temperatures, and are poorly soluble in water.
I can't.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an aqueous environment under technically feasible conditions.
To provide such a conversion to free acid without any problem.
Was.
Accordingly, free N-acylaminocarboxylic acid and free N-acylaminos
An aqueous solution of sulfonic acid is used from an alkali metal salt produced without using the solvent.
And found a method of manufacturing by precipitation.
This is based on the amount of the alkali metal salt added to the alkali metal salt before mixing with the aqueous acid solution.
From 5 to 100% by weight of the corresponding free N-acylaminocarboxylic acid or N
-Characterized by adding an acylaminosulfonic acid.
The amount of the free acid added is 10 to 70% by weight based on the amount of the alkali metal salt.
%, In particular 15 to 40% by weight. Larger amounts of free acid also
Produces the desired effect, but results in a lower percentage of acid migrating to the free acid
It is uneconomical.
Flow properties of alkali metal salts produced without solvent by the addition of free acid
And the solubility is clearly improved. The free acid, contrary to its alkali metal salt,
Melts at low temperatures or is liquid at room temperature; of N-acyl sarcosine salts
In some cases, the melting temperature of the free acid is, for example, from room temperature to about 70 ° C. in this way
The viscosity of the free acid / alkali metal salt mixture obtained is determined by the viscosity of the alkali metal salt itself.
Significantly lower than the viscosity; for example, the viscosity of N-oleoyl sarcosine-sodium
Is about 17000 mPas at 100 ° C. and 25000 mPas at 95 ° C.
s.
By mixing the free acid according to the invention, the N-acylaminocarboxylic acid-alkali metal
Salt or N-acylaminosulfonic acid-alkali metal salt in a fluid state
The state can be shifted to a state in which the supply is possible. Free acid
Unlike the case of mixing water, the mixing of
Mixing the free acid does not pose a problem in this, as it can. For example, N
-The viscosity of oleoyl sarcosine sodium is 5000 at 120-130 ° C.
It is less than mPas. Therefore, free N-acylaminocarboxylic acid or N-
The addition of the acylaminosulfonic acid to the alkali metal salt is carried out at 90-160 ° C., in particular,
It is advantageous to carry out at a temperature of from 95 to 130 ° C.
Now, from the free acid and its alkali metal salt, the mixture thus obtained is:
It can be immersed in water without any problems, and with the addition of acid, completely free acid
Can be transferred to shape. At that time, process at high temperature, about 70-95 ° C
Have proven to be advantageous. In this case, simultaneous addition of acid and water is also advantageous.
.
Water or a water-acid mixture is treated with N-acylaminocarboxylic acid or N-acy
Added to a mixture consisting of aminoaminosulfonic acid and their alkali metal salts
However, the reverse procedure, ie, free N-acylaminocarboxylic acid or N-acy
Of a mixture of aminoaminosulfonic acid and its alkali metal salt with an aqueous acid solution
The mixture may be poured into an aqueous acid solution or pumped.
Has been found to be particularly advantageous. In some cases, these mixtures
Is also very advantageous to be injected with a finer distribution. Thus, rapid dissolution,
Simultaneous rapid reaction of the alkali metal salt is caused by caking and coagulation in the reactor.
Can be achieved without occurring. This advantageous method is intermittent, or in particular,
Suitable for continuous processes.
Acids for converting the alkali metal salt into its free acid form include, in particular,
Mineral acids such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid or hydrochloric acid are furthermore organic acids such as carboxylic acids,
For example, formic acid or acetic acid is preferred, and these are usually used at pH values of about 0-3,
In particular, it is added in such an amount as to be adjusted in the range of 1 to 2. At that time, generally, a milky chestnut
A milky emulsion results. This emulsion is advantageously added simultaneously with the acid or
Conventional phase separation aids which can be added after the formation of the emulsion, for example keto
For example, iso-butyl methyl ketone or methyl ethyl ketone, alkanol
E.g. n-butanol, isobutanol or s-butanol, ethers, e.g.
For example, methyl-t-butyl ether or diisopropyl ether, acetic acid-C1~ CFour
-Alkyl ester, propionic acid-C1~ CFour-Alkyl esters or acetovinegar
Separation is carried out at a slightly higher temperature, about 40-70 ° C., using an acid ester. Such a phase
Many of the separation aids have a low boiling point and can be used industrially in terms of cost.
It is a compound that does not mix with or hardly mixes with.

Or aromatic or cycloaliphatic aminocarboxylic acids such as anthranilic acid, phenyl

In this case, in particular, one primary or secondary amino group and one or more
Is a compound having two carboxyl groups; however, in principle,
Are compounds having more than one amino group and / or more than two carboxyl groups
Things can also be used. All of the carboxyl groups are actually completely in salt form.

As an alkali metal salt of N-acylaminosulfonic acid, a saturated or unsaturated C6~

In particular, the sodium salt of an aliphatic aminosulfonic acid having 2 to 4 C-atoms or
Even when a potassium salt is used, the method of the present invention can be used particularly well.
