Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.イオン供給源、一次飛行時間型手段、一次飛行時間型手段からイオンを解 離してフラグメントイオンを生成するための手段、及び二次飛行時間型手段の順 次配列から成るタンデム質量分析装置であって、二次飛行時間型手段が装置の光 軸に沿って反射し実質的二次的場を生じるよう配列されるイオン鏡を包含し、一 次飛行時間型手段がイオン鏡の入口又は入口近くにイオンの空間的収束を提供す るための静電場手段を包含する装置。 2.イオン鏡が装置の光軸に沿って放物線場を生じるよう配列される請求項1 載のタンデム質量分析装置。 3.イオン源がイオンのパルス化ビームを発射するよう配列される請求項1又 は2記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 4.イオンをイオンのパルスに圧縮又は集束するための手段を包含する請求項 1、2又は3記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 5.イオン集束手段が一次飛行時間型手段により選択されたイオンのパルスが 集束器区域に入る入口、並びにパルスが集束器区域を出る出口を有する集束器区 域を限定し、集束器区域に入った時に静電加速又は減速力をパルス中のイオンに 適用し、それにより集束器区域の出口からのそれらの分離に比例してより高又は 低エネルギーにイオンを加速又は減速するよう操作可能である静電手段を包含す る請求項4記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 6.イオン集束手段の静電手段がそれぞれの電気メッキ層を集束器区域への入 口又はそこからの出口に包含する請求項5記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 7.一次飛行時間型手段が光軸に対して正常な拡散、機械のこうじくに沿った 拡散、パケット内のイオンのエネルギーの拡散及び時 間的収束に関して等圧イオンパケットの収束を提供するよう配列される前記請求 項のいずれかに記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 8.一次飛行時間型手段が複数のトロイド状又は円筒状静電装置の逐次S形立 体配置を包含する前記請求項のいずれかに記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 9.一次飛行時間型手段が2、3又は4つの上記静電装置を包含する請求項8 記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 10.一次飛行時間型手段が静電レンズを包含する請求項1〜7のいずれかに 記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 11.イオン源がイオンを静電レンズ中に加速するための静電手段を含む請求 項10記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 12.静電レンズが上昇ポテンシャルで軸対称体を包含する請求項10又は1 1記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 13.一次飛行時間型手段が静電レンズの後にイオン鏡をさらに包含する請求 項10、11又は12記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 14.一次飛行時間型手段がイオン鏡の後に二次静電レンズをさらに包含する 請求項13記載のタンデム質量分析装置。 15.イオン鏡がグリッドのない平面鏡で光学強度が実質的に0である請求項 13又は14記載のタンデム質量分析装置。
