【従来の技術】一般的に、製造機械は市販のPCやNC
装置により制御されている。PCやNC装置は簡単にプ
ログラムを作成、変更が誰にでも出来る事が最大のメリ
ットである。機械メーカにとっては、これらを利用する
事は便利である反面、簡単にプログラムやデータがコピ
ーされるという危険性があった。高性能な機械は、国内
はもとより外国でも複製され、国内の製造業の空洞化を
加速する要素にもなっている。その対策の為、機械メー
カでは以下のような方法で機械複製防止に取り組んでい
た。 1)プログラム内に、ダミープログラムを追加し、解析
を困難にする。 2)重要な部分は、マイコンを使った専用基盤を作成
し、装置内にブラックボックスを作る。 しかし、以上の方法では以下の様な問題があった。ダミ
ープログラムがあっても、全プログラムをコピーしてし
まえば複製機械が作れる。また専用基盤は調整、製造工
数、改造にかなりの時間、費用がかかる、などである。
逆に、市販のPCやNC装置本体に標準でプログラムプ
ロテクト機能を付ける場合には、以下のような問題が考
えられる。 3)ハード本体にプロテクト機能を付ける。 4)プログラム自身にプロテクトがかかる機能を付け
る。 以上の場合では、ハード故障の時にも交換の為のプログ
ラム読出しが出来ない。また、ちょっとしたプログラム
の改造さえ出来ない。

などを組込んだプログラマブルなマイコン基盤を作る。
この場合、メモリにはバックアップ電源不要なEEP−
ROMなどを用いる。図2参照。 (ロ) (イ)の基盤には、プログラムやデータを書込
む機能だけを付け、読出す機能は付けない。 (ハ) プログラムやデータの書込みは、パソコンなど
外部入力機器を用いて書込み専用回路を経由して書込
む。図3参照 (ニ) 実際に使用する際は、装置の要となる演算、及
びデータを(イ)のメモリに書込んでからPCに取り付
ける。 (ホ) データを書込んだら、変更出来ないように、書
込み専用回路や書込み許可してた部分を、回路短絡など
で機能を殺す。 (ヘ)(イ)の基盤へは電源も供給する。また、シリア
ルコネクタに電源が供給ピンがあるPCと接続する際
は、このコネクタから電源供給を受ける。図2参照 (ト) (イ)の基盤は、PCのシリアル通信のコネク
タに固定出来るケースに納める。これをプロテクトキー
と称す。図1参照。 (チ) シリアル通信のボーレートなど通信設定を合わ
せる。 (リ) PCには従来どうり制御プログラムを書込む
が、所々でプロテクトキー内の演算を用いたり、データ
を引出して使うことで、通常のプログラムから見えない
部分が出来る。図4参照。 (リ) よって制御プログラムの大半は、従来どうりユ
ーザで自由に保守、改造できるが、要の部分は解析出来
ないため、装置の複製は簡単には出来ない。 (ヌ) また、PCが壊れた場合でも、制御プログラム
とプロテクトキーを移植すれば、容易に復旧する事が出
来る。

の課題であった、装置制御プログラムの著作権保護が実
現できる。よって、海外へ輸出する設備も複製が困難な
ため、日本の先端技術の流出にも歯止めがかかる。

ーラ、以降PCと称す、と上位コンピュータの専用通信
プロトコルを内蔵し、マイコンのメモリには演算プログ
ラムやデータを書込めるが、読出すことが出来ない構造
のもので、シリアルポートをとおしてPCのシリアル通
信ユニットやCPUユニットに内蔵されているシリアル
ポートと通信し、ユーザに実行内容が分からないように
データの授受を行う、インテリジェントなプロテクトキ
ー。なお、ここで示すPCと上位コンピュータ専用通信
プロトコルとは、上位コンピュータからPC内部の任意
のメモリやI/Oのデータを一方的に読出しや書込みが
出来る各社から公開されているプロトコルを意味しま
す。 (ロ) (イ)のインテリジェントなプロテクトキーを
用いて、PCプログラムの解析、及び複製を困難にする
