The water that has flowed into the hot water storage chamber 5 receives heat from the combustion gas (including the flame), is heated to a predetermined temperature, and flows out of a hot water supply pipe (not shown). On the other hand, the flow of the combustion gas is as follows. The combustion gas (including the flame) generated in the combustion chamber 1 flows into the combustion gas passage 4 from the lower end of the combustion chamber 1, flows into the smoke pipe 3 through the combustion gas passage 4, and passes through the smoke pipe 3 and the chimney base 7. And spills outside. In the flow of the combustion gas, heat is transmitted to the water through the inner wall surface of the combustion chamber 1, the wall surface of the combustion gas passage 4, and the inner wall surface of the smoke tube 3.
