2. Description of the Related Art The applicant has previously disclosed a cushioning device for mountain climbing as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 as a device suitable for the above-mentioned application field (Japanese Patent No. 938705). 1 is a climber, 2 is a waist belt, 3 is a rope, and its upper end is connected and fixed to a haken driven into a crack in a rock wall, a pickle driven into an ice snow slope, or the like. 4 is a carabiner connected to the lower end of the rope, 5 is a carabiner 4 and a waist belt 2
Climbing shock absorber attached between the rope breaker 6,
Brake rope 7 and rope storage bag 8 attached to waist belt
It is composed of The rope brake 6 has six braking grooves 9 with which the braking rope 7 bends. One end of the braking rope is connected to the carabiner 4 and the other end is a rope storage bag 8.
Is stored in. The length of the braking rope is usually 5m to 10m
Most of them are initially stored in rope storage bags at about m. A connection hole 10 is cut at the lower end of the rope brake 6, and the waist belt 2 is inserted into the hole. If the climber slides down during climbing, it falls as shown in FIG. 1 and the brake rope is paid out from the rope storage bag, but the climber stops because of the frictional force between the rope brake and the brake rope. That is, the device of 5 is useful for climber safety. On the other hand, tension is generated in the cable 3 during that time, and the tension is larger as the frictional force is larger. The braking rope is always inserted into the upper braking groove 11, but whether or not the braking rope is inserted into the other five braking grooves is determined by a climber. The greater the number of braking grooves to be inserted, the greater the tension of the rope. In addition, the supporting force of Haken or Pickel that fixes the upper end of the sail is not constant, in the case of Haken it depends on the situation of cracks on the rock wall, the rock quality, the driving force, etc. Depends on Since the tension of the rope is required to be smaller than the supporting force, the climber determines the number of the braking grooves to be inserted in consideration of the magnitude of the supporting force.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The apparatus shown in FIG.
There are two issues to be solved. (1) When a climber slides down, the sail is initially slack, but soon becomes tense, and at the same time, relative movement occurs between the braking rope and the rope brake to generate frictional force. At this time, as shown by the solid line graph in FIG. 3 (horizontal axis is time, vertical axis is the tension of the rope), a large braking force is generated instantaneously at first. The first problem is that the initial excessive tension (hereinafter, IPI)
natural peak). There is no suitable way to remove this automatically in the known art. (2) In addition to the above, the supporting force includes, for example, securing of a shoulder which is performed by the securer at the other end of the sail while standing and stepping on his / her foot. These supporting forces have a considerable width from about 20 kg to 1 ton or more. Therefore, the adjustment of the braking force
This range is necessary, especially at low braking forces, where the intervals between adjustments must be small. The adjustment of the braking force in FIG. 1 cannot accommodate this.

The solution to the problem (1) is described with reference to FIG. 12 is a main body of a rope brake, 13 is a braking rope, 14 is a rope storage bag, 15 is a connection hole, and 16 is a waist belt. As a result of the experiment, approximately equal pressure was applied to the 17 sections of the braking rope and a length of about 10 cm was applied between them.
If the loop 18 of FIG. P. Is a graph shown by a dotted line in FIG. Therefore, the configuration of the main body 12 of the rope brake is changed as follows.
That is, a screw 19 is provided on the main body of the rope brake, a rope pressing plate 20 is engaged with the screw, and a loop 18 is provided. The problem (1) is solved by rotating the rope pressing plate. This mechanism also solves the above-mentioned problem (2). That is, by gradually tightening the rope pressing plate, the braking force changes continuously. When a low braking force is required, the braking rope is inserted only into the braking groove 21.

The use and operation of the apparatus shown in FIG. 5 (hereinafter referred to as the present apparatus) according to the present invention will be described. The main body 23 of the rope brake and the rope storage bag 24 storing the braking rope 30 are attached to the waist belt 32. The head 44 of the locking adjustment rod 43 is pinched by a finger, and is fully raised upward. Since there is no cutting in the fitting portion 46, the fitting portion 46 is stopped by the leather 50, and the lock adjusting rod 43 does not separate from the main body. Next, the knob 39 of the rope pressing plate 36
And rotate it to the left with your finger. When the distance between the grooved portion 38 and the comb-shaped protrusions 28 and 29 is larger than the diameter of the braking rope, the braking rope is pushed into the cylindrical portion 37 to make contact with the cylindrical portion, and the braking rope is rotated 180 degrees. To the right to apply the appropriate pressure to the braking rope. At this time, the loop 18 of FIG. 4 is formed on the brake rope, and the loop is lightly inserted into the loop storage groove 52 of the main body as indicated by 53.
This means that if the loop slides down in the state of FIG.
This is to prevent the loop from being caught by another object. Next, the number of comb-shaped projections is selected and bent so that the braking force matches the supporting force, and finally the groove below the comb-shaped projection 25 is inserted. Next, the head part 44 is pinched and pushed downward, and the fitting part 46 is fitted into an appropriate one of the ten grooves 42 cut in the groove part 38. Since the cutting of the portion 47 of the long rod portion 45 is slightly deeper than the other portions, the fitting between the fitting portion 46 and the groove portion 42 does not naturally separate. In short, the braking rope is bent with an appropriate number of comb-shaped projections, the pressure changes due to the rotation of the rope pressing plate, and the fitting portion of the locking adjusting rod 43 is fitted into an appropriate groove of the rope pressing plate. , I. P. The invention with the prevention means allows a small braking force to a large braking force with a small interval in between, which is useful for safe climbing.

Operation The operation of the apparatus shown in FIG. 7 will be described. While the two climbers are descending, the senior 83 in FIG. 12 usually adjusts the length of the sail by holding the sail 58 with the left hand, while holding the Pickel head (84 in FIG. 8) with the right hand, It descends while pressing 77 on the slope. When the lower rank person (85 in FIG. 12) slides down, the higher rank person releases the sail and assumes the posture of FIG.
The rope 58 is tensed, the container 57 is lowered away from the waist belt 56, the ice rope 74 is tensed, the main body 60 of the rope brake is separated from the pedestal 62, and the play 66 is eliminated. Only the braking rope is pulled out of the rope storage bag. The rope in this part therefore has a slight tension. If the rope in this area is slack and therefore has a swelling, there is considerable resistance and increased braking force when the rope enters the braking groove of the body. However, because of the play 66, the rope in this area is tensioned and prevents the occurrence of squabbling. After all, FIG.
And the low rank 85 stops. When the descending high-ranking person 83 slides down, the low-ranking person assumes the posture shown in FIG. 11 until the sail is tense. The supporting force of FIG. 11 is much larger than that of FIG. In the case of soft snow, the posture shown in FIG. 10 is excellent.
