SOLUTION: This invention provides a fluid for removing contaminants which is prepared by adding sodium carbonate, potassium hydroxide and metallic silicon to water and reacting the mixture and a process for producing the same which comprises adding 10-30wt.% metallic silicon, 6-10wt.% sodium carbonate and 5-10wt.% potassium hydroxide to 50-80wt.% water and reacting the mixture at 60-90 deg.C for 2-5hr.
