2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, public interest has been increasing, and purification of rivers has been progressing due to enhancement of sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities in urban areas. However, rivers are still polluted by domestic wastewater and industrial wastewater. For this reason, there has been a problem that organisms living in rivers are polluted, killed or reduced. Further, it is well known that the contaminated water flows into the sea and contaminates the seawater, which has a serious effect on aquaculture and other aquatic resource protection and fostering, such as generation of red tide.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, the charcoal pieces are porous, have a large specific surface area, and have a high adsorptivity, in which countless small holes are formed at the traces where the carbonized material was removed during the production. At the same time, microorganisms that decompose and purify organic substances are present in the pores. Therefore, when the pieces of charcoal are immersed in the stream of the river, the organic pollutants contained in the river water are effectively adsorbed by the pores, decomposed and detoxified by the microorganisms in the pores, and the river is purified. You. In addition, since the charcoal pieces are filled in a tubular body, the upper part is covered with a rock piece, and the lower part is covered with a floor plate, the purifying action is performed in a stable state without flowing into the water flow. Further, the device according to the present invention can be made of inexpensive materials, such as charcoal and rock, and also, for example, any of steel and logs, and has a simple structure. Therefore, for example, when a piece of charcoal loses its effect, it is only necessary to take out a piece of rock and replace it with a new piece of charcoal, so that maintenance is easy and extremely simple.

According to the second aspect of the present invention, in addition to the function and effect of the first aspect, a plurality of cylindrical bodies filled with charcoal pieces and rock pieces are vertically inserted into a riverbed. Since it is fitted in the grid of the grid-shaped fixed frame fixed by the piles, even if the water increases due to rainfall or the like and the flow becomes severe, it does not easily flow out. In addition to this, for example, when a cylindrical body having a circular cross section is fitted into a rectangular fixed frame, the flow of water becomes complicated, such as the generation of a vortex, and the contact between the charcoal pieces and the water flow is promoted accordingly. , The purification effect of the river is increased.

[0012] According to the third aspect of the present invention, the first aspect is provided.
In addition to the effect of the second aspect, since the vertical frame member is made of wood whose surface is carbonized, the vertical frame member also has an effect similar to that of charcoal pieces, increases the purification effect of the river, and is hardly corroded.
