Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fender capable of preventing a shear force from acting on a fixing bolt by providing a cushion part so as to stride over the prescribed angle bent position of a mounting part. SOLUTION: A fender 1 is formed out of a mounting part 2 and a cushion part 3, using an elastic material such as rubber and then mounted on the vertical corner 9 of a quay 8. In this case, the fender 1 is secured with fixing bolt 6 inserted in the bolt hole 5 of the mounting part 2. Furthermore, the mounting part 2 of the fender 1 is bent at right angles, and mounted on the horizontal corner of the quay 8, except for the vertical corner 9.
