Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dust collecting electrodes with a simple structure and whose assembling work and maintenance work can easily be carried out by producing electrode members with a multilayer structure by rolling the members while inserting a ventilative insulator between the electrode members, regarding dust collecting electrodes suitable to be used for electric dust collectors which collect dust such as finely powdered dust generated in a welding work. SOLUTION: The electrode members 10 with a multilayer structure and composing dust collecting electrodes 20 are produced by inserting an intermediate insulating layer 13 between two thin conductive materials 11, 12 for an anode and a cathode and coating respective surfaces of both conductive materials 11, 12 with thin surface insulating layers 14, 15. In this case, an aluminum foil with 5-10μm thickness is used for both conductive materials 11, 12, polyethylene or polyester with 90-100μm thickness is used for the intermediate insulating layer 13, and polyethylene or polyester with 10-20μm thickness is used for the surface insulating layers 14, 15. While sandwiching a sponge with, for example, 70-130μm thickness as the ventilative insulator 17, the electrode members 10 are spirally rolled to compose the dust collecting electrodes 20.

According to the means of claim 3 described in the above (3), the dust collecting electrode formed by rolling the electrode material having a multilayer structure into a roll shape is adapted to the shape of the collecting portion (electrode chamber). Not only can it be deformed and stored in a free shape, but also because it is configured as a cartridge, it greatly facilitates the replacement work (removal work) for the collection part, while the used dust collection electrode can be used. It is possible to dispose it as disposable as it is.

In the dust-collecting electrode 20 rolled into a roll shape shown in FIG. 5, the absence of the air-permeable insulator 16 at the left and right curved portions is due to the weight of the air-permeable insulator 16 itself. In order to prevent deformation or contact in the parallel space between the left and right curved portions, the electrode material 10 is bonded to the horizontal space at the center with a multi-stage air-permeable insulator 16. In this case, the elastic space provided by itself makes it possible to maintain the parallel space between the left and right curved portions.

As described above, according to the dust collecting electrode for an electric precipitator according to the present invention, the dust collecting electrode is made of two conductive materials such as aluminum foil as electrodes, for example, polyethylene or polyester. Such a thin insulator, and a breathable insulator such as a sponge for securing the interval between the electrodes, can be configured by rolling this into a roll shape, the structure is very small compared to the conventional dust collection electrode It is simple and can reduce the manufacturing cost, and because of the low manufacturing cost, it can also exhibit the advantage of disposable use and greatly simplify various operations such as maintenance, and it is configured as a cartridge type. In combination with the fact that the handling is facilitated by this, it is perfectly suitable for use in an electric dust collector.
