Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce mold-making cost and improve assembling workability by forming a drain pan so as to be usable for a setting-on-floor type serving also as a suspension-from-ceiling type. SOLUTION: A blower 3 and a heat exchanger 4 slantingly disposed are provided in an air passage connecting an air suction port 2 of a main body with an air outlet port 5 thereof, and a substantially L-shaped drain pan 6 is disposed at a lower portion of the heat exchanger 4. In an air conditioner having such a construction, the drain pan 6 is composed of two drain pans; one being a first drain pan 6a and the other being a second drain pan 6b, and a water discharge port is provided in a bottom face of the first drain pan 6a while a water discharge port 7c corresponding to the water discharge port of the first drain pan 6a is provided in a bottom face of the second drain pan 6b. The first drain pan 6a and the second drain pan are combined with each other at right angles, and a water discharge port 7b is provided on one side of the second drain pan 6b. Either one of water discharge ports is closed, whereby the drain pan 6 is formed so as to be usable for a setting-on-floor type serving also as a suspension-from-ceiling type.

結露水は前記熱交換器4の下部に設けられた露受皿6'に
導かれ、この露受皿6'の一端に設けられた排水口7'から

の場合、熱交換器4と送風ファン3の間に配置し、天吊

型の露受皿もあるが、その形状から金型構造が複雑とな
り、金型製作費が高騰してしまうという問題を有してい
た。
