Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vegetation protective cylinder which prevent the root collapse during transportation and carriage of young seedlings, maintains a preferable young seedlings environment and improves a rooting property by opening both ends of the cylinder and providing the two end parts in the longitudinal direction of the side wall of the cylinder with comb-shaped spacings. SOLUTION: The end faces on both sides of the cylinder made of a biodecomposable resin, such as microorganism decomposable polyester, as a foundation material are opened. Both end parts in the longitudinal direction of the side wall of the cylinder have the comb-shaped spacings. The one side in both end parts preferably curves in an inward direction and the young seedlings grown in nursery gardens are inserted together with bed soil into the vegetation protective cylinder in such a manner that the front ends of the young seedlings exist slightly lower than the end face of the cylinder. Cap paper is put on this end face and the vegetation protective cylinder with this end face faced upward is embedded and fixed to the bare land or slope to be afforestated or is installed by hanging the cylinder to a substrate wire net and, thereafter, a vegetation base material is sprayed, by which the vegetation protective cylinder is preferably effectively utilized.

Description of the Related Art Slope caused by road works in mountainous areas and hills, resort development, construction of golf courses, construction of residential lands in hills, and other civil engineering works, etc. Various stabilization methods have been employed to prevent the collapse and collapse. Such a construction method includes a concrete spraying method and the like, and a greening method has been developed by considering not only stabilization of the slope but also environmental conservation and landscape conservation. The vegetation used for this revegetation method was generally herbaceous, but recently it has become necessary to use a variety of woody species in order to enable richer revegetation. It has become.

[0003] In a tree introduced by planting, generally fine roots are short and mainly, and the roots are unlikely to extend to the ground. Although it has been experimentally proven that thick roots extend to the ground in trees introduced by seeds, the types of trees that can be introduced are limited and the certainty of establishment is low. So, when introducing a specific tree species,
Planting was carried out in combination with a seedling method using a vegetation substrate spraying method.

[0004] Generally, seedlings used for planting are relatively large seedlings that have been grown in a nursery for two to three years in consideration of workability and vigor. For this reason, in order for the grown seedlings to survive on the slopes and slopes, it is necessary to dig a large planting hole and apply a large amount of manure, and as a result, the introduced trees are short roots mainly composed of fine roots. It is responsible for forming the morphology. In extreme cases, only the fine roots grow and grow in the planting holes at the time of planting, so that they can lie down due to strong wind and cause collapse of slopes and slopes.

For the above reasons, in order to enable the introduction of more tree species and to prevent lodging due to strong winds, etc., the seedlings should be planted as small as possible. It is necessary to protect such seedlings during transportation and construction, and to maintain a good growth environment until the seedlings survive. As this attempt, the use of a vegetation protection tube is known. At present, what is generally called a pot seedling is used. A pot seedling is a seedling of about one year that grew in a nursery on a plastic bee (with a diameter of about 10 cm and a depth of about 10 cm) as thin as paper. If this is used, the floor soil will be separated from the root (root break) due to vibration or impact during transportation and small transportation or work at the site. For this reason, there are problems that seedlings die due to drying during transportation, and that survival after planting is poor. Recently, a method has been attempted in which a seedling is inserted into a bamboo tube together with the floor soil, fixed by driving it into the slope, and then sprayed with vegetation base material. In such a case, if the consolidation is performed so as not to cause root breakage, the root may be damaged at the time of consolidation, and the growth may be impaired due to lack of oxygen or the like. Further, in both of the above, since no measures have been taken to prevent the vegetation base material from scattering and adhering to the seedlings when the vegetation base material is sprayed, it is necessary to separately cure the seedlings during construction. Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to overcome such disadvantages of the conventional vegetation protection cylinder.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is a vegetation protection tube for preventing root breakage during transportation or small transportation of seedlings, preventing death and deterioration of seedlings, and improving survival. In the vegetation protection cylinder of the present invention, both ends of the cylinder made of a biodegradable resin as a base material are open, and both ends in the longitudinal direction of the side wall of the cylinder have a comb-shaped gap. Preferably, the combs are curved outward on the upper side and inward on the lower side. Seeds or seedlings can be used for cultivation in the vegetation protection tube. The vegetation protection tube of the present invention inserts the seedling grown in the nursery with the floor soil into the tube such that the tip of the seedling is slightly below the upper end surface of the tube, and covers the end surface with a cover paper. It is used by spraying a vegetation base material after the vegetation protection cylinder is buried and fixed on a bare ground or a slope to be greened or placed hanging on a base wire mesh with the end face facing upward.
In the case of seed cultivation, a cylinder is filled with a certain amount of culture soil, seeds are buried on the surface, cured for a certain period of time, covered with a cover paper on its end face, and this end face is turned upside down to protect vegetation It is used by spraying a vegetation substrate after burying and fixing the tube to a bare ground or a slope to be greened or hanging the tube on a ground wire mesh.

[0007] The protective tube of the present invention is manufactured from a biodegradable resin. The biodegradable resin used in the protective tube of the present invention is preferably one that decomposes in about six months to one year, which is the curing period of seeds or seedlings, so as not to inhibit the growth of plants. Examples of such a resin include a biodegradable polyester or a microbiodegradable cellulose derivative obtained by fermentation synthesis. For example, Biopol (trade name), a biopolyester manufactured by ICI (a copolymer composed of units of 3-hydroxybutyrate and 3-hydroxyvalerate), can be used.

The end surface of the vegetation protection tube is open, and both ends in the longitudinal direction of the side wall of the tube have a comb-shaped gap. The comb-shaped gap portion and the opening at the bottom of the tube allow the culture soil filled in the tube to directly grow the growth substrate and the ground without extremely isolating the growth environment in the protection tube from the environment around the protection tube. Since it comes into contact with the mountain, it becomes possible to absorb and discharge water, and it is possible to prevent the culture soil from being over-moistened or dried. Further, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of abnormal plant roots in the cylinder.

The sectional shape of the cylinder with respect to the longitudinal axis may be any shape. However, for reasons such as ease of molding and strength, it will generally be a circular cross section. Preferably, one end in the longitudinal direction of the side wall of the protective cylinder has an inwardly curved shape. By using the inwardly curved end as a lower side, the culture soil filled with seeds or the floor soil filled with seedlings is held in the cylinder to prevent root collapse and collapse of the culture soil from the cylinder. be able to. The upper end on the opposite side of the protection tube has an outwardly curved shape. Usually, a cover paper is placed on the upper part of the protection cylinder to protect the seedlings grown from seeds or planted seedlings in the cylinder from scattering and sticking of the vegetation base material when spraying the vegetation base material. The cover paper can be prevented from scattering.

The vegetation protection cylinder can be installed by directly burying and fixing it on a slope or slope to be greened, or by hanging it on a ground wire mesh such as a lath wire mesh. If a base wire mesh is used, it may be necessary to anchor it to bare slopes or slopes with anchors. In the case of using such a base wire mesh, installation work can be simplified since it is only necessary to hang the wire mesh.
