Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter with a picture hardly recognizable in the state before the picture appears but a vivid picture can appear by rubbing the printed surface with a coin, etc., by printing a picture on a printing substrate with halftone dots using an ink including a material having a larger hardness with respect to the metal used in the coin. SOLUTION: A picture including an image 1 with large halftone dots 3a and a background 2 with small halftone dots 3b is printed on a printing substrate 4 using an ink including a material having a larger hardness with respect to the metal used in a coin. Since the gloss difference of the printing substrate 4 surface is small in a printed matter with such a configuration, it is difficult to recognize the picture, but the picture can appear vividly by rubbing the printed surface with a coin, etc. The halftone dot concentration difference between the image 1 and the background 2 is preferably set in the rang of 20 to 50%. Furthermore, by having the halftone dot concentration of the image 1 larger than the halftone dot concentration of the background 2, a thick tone image 1 can appear conspicuously from a thin tone background 2.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as for a printed matter in which a pattern appears by rubbing the surface with a coin, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 6-780.
As described in No. 39, by forming a pattern such as a line drawing with an ink composition containing a material having a higher hardness than the metal of a coin on a printing substrate, and rubbing the pattern with a coin,
A printed material is known in which the printed portion is colored with a metal of a shaved coin and a pattern appears, but in this printed material, since the difference in gloss between the printed base material and the pattern is large, the viewing angle is changed depending on the perspective. However, there is a drawback that a pattern printed on a printing base material can be recognized before the printed surface is rubbed with coins. Further, as a printed material that prevents a printed pattern from being recognized before rubbing a printing surface with a coin, for example, a printed material such as described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 7-257080 It is known that a predetermined area is uniformly printed with an ink composition containing a material having a hardness higher than that of a coin metal, and an overprint varnish is printed on the ink composition so that portions constituting characters and patterns are separately painted thereon. ing. In the printed matter of this configuration, the drawback that the printed pattern can be recognized before the printed surface is rubbed with coins has been solved to some extent. However, there is a disadvantage that the cost becomes high and the cost becomes high.

As shown in FIG. 1, an embodiment of the printed matter of the present invention uses a net having a high dot density by using an ink containing a material having a hardness higher than that of a coin on a printing substrate such as paper. This is a printed matter on which a picture composed of an image 1 composed of dots and a background 2 composed of halftone dots having low halftone density is printed. By configuring the image 1 and the background 2 as described above, the difference in the gloss of the surface of the printing substrate between the image 1 and the background 2 is reduced, so that even when the printed material is viewed at different viewing angles, It is possible to make it difficult to recognize whether a special pattern is printed. By rubbing the printing surface with a coin or the like, a clear pattern composed of the image 1 and the background 2 can be made to appear.

The halftone dots of the image 1 and the background 2 in the above embodiment, printed using an ink containing a material having a hardness greater than that of the coin metal, are as shown in FIG. On the other hand, an image 1 composed of large halftone dots 3a and a background 2 composed of small halftone dots 3b are printed. That is, the image 1 and the background 2 are composed of halftone dots having different densities, that is, halftone dots 3a and 3b having different sizes. By rubbing the printed surface with coins or the like in this state, the metal such as coins is scraped off at the dots 3a and 3b and the dots 3a and 3b are colored, so that the image 1 composed of large dots is dark. The background 2 which is colored and composed of small dots is lightly colored.
Therefore, the image 1 and the background 2 are colored at different densities, and a clear pattern appears.

Another embodiment of the printed matter of the present invention is as shown in FIG. 3, in which a halftone dot is printed on a printing substrate 4 such as paper by using an ink containing a material having a hardness higher than that of a coin. An image 1 'composed of halftone dots with low density and a background 2' composed of halftone dots with high density are printed matter. Even in the case of this configuration, there is no difference in the gloss of the surface of the printing base material 4 between the image 1 'and the background 2'. Therefore, even when the viewing angle is changed, what kind of pattern is on the printing base material 4 It is difficult to recognize whether it is printed. By rubbing the printed surface with coins or the like, a clear pattern in which a light image 1 'emerges in a dark background 2' can appear.

The various dot densities are as shown in FIG. 4, and the dot density indicates the ratio of the area of the dot to the total area. And the area of the halftone dot is equal to the area of the portion without the halftone dot. A dot density of 100% is completely solid. Halftone density of 10% and 90%, halftone density of 20% and 80%, halftone density of 30%
And 70%, and the halftone dot densities of 40% and 60% are states in which the areas of the halftone dot and the area without the halftone dot are reversed. Further, when a picture is composed of halftone dots, the picture may be represented by a plurality of halftone dots of different sizes, and by doing so, a picture with gradation can be obtained by rubbing with a coin or the like and coloring. be able to.

As the halftone dot density, images 1, 1 'and backgrounds 2, 2'
Can be set arbitrarily within the range of halftone density that can be reproduced by printing, both when the halftone density is high or when the halftone density is low, but the image 1, 1 'and the background 2, 2' By setting the halftone dot density difference in the range of 20 to 50%, it is difficult to confirm the pattern formed on the printing base material 4 before the pattern appears, and rub it with a coin or the like. This makes it possible to make clear patterns appear. Regarding a screen for forming a halftone dot used when producing a printing plate for printing a picture, the number of lines is arbitrary, but since it is necessary to accurately reproduce the halftone dot by printing, a line is required. It is preferred to use a relatively coarse screen with a number of 80 to 154 lines / inch. When a picture is printed with halftone dots, the image 1 and the background 2 can be constructed by changing the halftone density by using a screen having the same number of lines, or a portion having a high halftone density can be determined by the number of lines. May be used to print a pattern composed of the patterns 1, 1 'or the backgrounds 2, 2' using a screen with a small number of lines in a portion having a low halftone dot density.

Printing using an ink containing a material having a higher hardness than the metal of a coin can be performed by any of offset printing, letterpress printing, gravure printing, and silk screen printing. The proportion of the material having a hardness higher than that of the coin metal in the ink containing the material having a hardness higher than that of the coin metal is suitably from 10 to 80%. When the proportion of the material having a hardness higher than that of the metal of the coin is 10% or less, the degree of the metal of the coin being scraped off by the printed halftone dots is small and coloring is insufficient. As the printing substrate, it is preferable to use a printing substrate which does not include a material having high hardness such as titanium oxide, aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide, and chromium oxide.
