Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve excellent quality molding having no sinks in its surface in a molded item provided with projections such as ribs or bosses without altering a design of a mold and adding to the wall thickness of the molded item. SOLUTION: The injection mold 10 is to mold a molded item having projections such as ribs and bosses by injecting molten resin in a cavity defined by a movable side mold plate 11 and a stationary side mold plate 12, wherein a projection piece forming part 14 communicating with the cavity 13 is extended in either of mold plates 11, 12, and a projection part 15 is provided around the cavity side of the projection piece forming part 14 in a manner projecting in the cavity 13 from the mold plates 11, 12, so that a thin wall thickness is formed around a rising part of the projection piece of a molded item.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a molded product having a smooth surface, a rib is erected on the back side to reinforce the body of the molded product or a boss is erected for assembly etc. When such a protruding piece is provided by protruding from the main body,
Since the periphery of the protruding piece of the molded product body is thicker than the other parts, a concave portion, that is, a sink mark is generated on the surface side of the molded product.

The process in which the sink marks described above occur is
It is described as follows. That is, the sink mark phenomenon is caused by the shrinkage characteristics when the molten resin injected into the cavity is cooled and solidified by cooling the mold, and generally in a molded product having a uniform thickness. , It occurs in places where the wall thickness varies.

For example, as shown in FIG. 5, the case of a molded product having ribs on the inside will be described as an example. By providing the ribs 200 on the inside of the molded product main body 100, the ribs 200 and the molded product main body are provided. A thick portion 102 is formed between the thick portion 102 and the portion 100.
2 is a so-called heat pool.

In this case, a portion having a uniform wall thickness is uniformly cooled toward the inside to form a good smooth surface, but as shown in the drawing, a rib 200 is provided to form a thick wall portion 102. Is formed, the cooling of the thick portion 102 is delayed compared to other portions, and the front surface side of the molded product body 100, which has been cooled earlier, is drawn inward.
The concave portion 300, a so-called sink mark, is generated.

However, in the above-described method for dealing with sink marks, the shape and wall thickness of the molded product body,
Further, there remains a problem that the ribs and bosses cannot be completely eliminated depending on the size and shape of the ribs and bosses. Also, the latter method of increasing the thickness of the molded product body is not intentional, and it causes excessive quality and increases the product weight.
There are problems such as increased costs.
