Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly reduce the number of part items and assembling manhours for assembling a set by mounting an operation electronic part used in various electric and electronic apparatuses on a wiring board to obtain the operation electronic part simultaneously earthed. SOLUTION: In an operation electronic part 24, a live electric part 2 and an earth part 22 are provided on an integral conductive metal plate 21, and after both members are fixed to a resin-made case 23 by insert-molding, they are electrically separated, and the earth part 22 positioned between the live electric part 2 and an operating knob 6 is mounted so as to come nearest to the peripheral surface of a set. Therefore, even when another metal plate 9 for earth is not mounted, static electricity can be surely earthed by the operation electronic part 24 by itself, so that the number of part items and assembling manhours for assembling a set may be reduced.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, as various electric and electronic devices have been downsized and reduced in price, operation type electronic parts to be used are also required to be small, highly functional and inexpensive products. In order to comply with the above, it has become necessary to facilitate the automatic assembly of electronic components, and in particular, insert molding technology is used to make contact parts and terminal parts formed by connecting them with hoop-shaped metal plates. It has become common practice to continuously insert the live parts such as the above into a case made of molded resin and supply it to an automatic assembly machine.

However, in the above-mentioned conventional configuration, the fracture surface 4 of the conductive metal plate 1 is exposed on the outer peripheral surface of the case 3 in the produced case 3, and the rotating operation assembled using the case 3 is performed. When the mold electronic component 5 is attached to the wiring board 8 of the set by protruding the operation knob 6 from the exterior wall 7 of the set as shown in FIG. 6, when the fracture surface 4 is in the vicinity of the operation knob 6, the operation is performed. There is a problem that static electricity generated when the knob 6 is operated by a finger jumps to the fracture surface 4 and affects the output signal of the rotary operation type electronic component 5 and causes a malfunction of the set. Therefore, in such an arrangement, the fracture surface 4 is covered with a separate metal plate 9 and a part of the metal plate 9 is electrically connected to the earth portion 10 of the set by soldering or the like to obtain the earth. Therefore, it has a problem that the number of parts for assembling the set and the number of assembling steps are required.

As shown in FIG. 3, the rotary operation type electronic component 24 assembled by using the case 23 is connected to the ground terminal 22B, and the ground wiring portion 25A of the wiring board 25 is set.
If the grounding portion 22 is mounted so as to be closest to the outer peripheral surface of the set, the lightning rod portion 22A of the grounding portion 22 becomes a conductive material having a distance closest to the operation knob 6, so that static electricity is not generated. Always jumps to the lightning rod portion 22A and falls to the ground wiring portion 25A via the ground terminal 22B.
The earth can be reliably obtained without the metal plate 9 which is conventionally required.
