本発明は、各種電気・電子機器に使用されるエンコーダや可変抵抗器等の操作型電子部品に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
近年、各種電気・電子機器の小型化並びに低価格化が進む中において、使用される操作型電子部品も同様に小型・高機能でありかつ安価な製品を要求され、その要求に対応するため、電子部品の構成を自動組立しやすくすることが必要となってきており、特にインサート成形技術を利用して、フープ状の金属板で連結して形成された接点部や端子部等の活電部を成形樹脂製のケースに連続的にインサート成形して自動組立機に供給することが通例化してきている。

以下に従来の操作型電子部品の一例として回転操作型電子部品を例に、この接点部および端子部等の活電部をインサート成形したケースの製作方法、ならびにこの回転操作型電子部品をセットに取り付けた状態について、図4〜図6により説明する。

図4は、フープ状の金属板に連結して形成された活電部の導電体、およびこれを成形樹脂製ケースに連続してインサート成形した後のフープ状態の平面図、図5は完成状態の単品ケースの斜視図、図6はセットに取り付けられた回転操作型電子部品の側面図である。

図4および図5において、1は桟部1Aを有するフープ状の導電金属板、2は前記金属板1に連続的に打ち抜き形成され各々連結部1Bにて桟部1Aに連結している平板状の活電部、3はこの活電部2をインサート成形した成形樹脂製のケースである。

このように構成されたケース3は、次工程において、活電部2の接続部2Aを切断後フォーミングすることにより接点部2Bを形成し、その後、桟部1Aとの連結部1Bを切断箇所1Cにて切断すると共に出力端子部2Cを下方に折り曲げ形成し、図5に示すような完成状態のケース3を作製していた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら上記従来の構成では、作製したケース3には導電金属板1の破断面4がケース3の外周面に露出し、前記ケース3を用いて組み立てた回転操作型電子部品5を、図6のように操作ツマミ6をセットの外装壁7より突出させてセットの配線基板8に取り付けた際に、前記破断面4が操作ツマミ6の近辺に有る場合、操作ツマミ6を指で操作した際に発生した静電気は破断面4に飛び回転操作型電子部品5の出力信号に影響を与え、セットの誤動作の要因となるという問題があった。従って、このような配置となるときは破断面4を別体の金属板9にて覆い、金属板9の一部を半田付け等によりセットのアース部分10に電気的に接続してアースをとらなければならず、セットを組み立てる部品点数並びに組立工数がかかるという問題点を有していた。

本発明は上記従来の問題点を解決するものであり、別部品を使用せずに取り付けるだけでアースをとることができる操作型電子部品を提供することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この課題を解決するために本発明の操作型電子部品は、活電部である導電体とアース部である導電体を一体の金属板上に設け、両者を樹脂製ケースにインサート成形にて固定後、両者間の連結された部分を切断して電気的に分離し、活電部とセットの外装壁から突出する操作ツマミの外周部分との間にアース部を配する構成としたものである。

【作用】
この構成とすることにより、操作ツマミのセットの外装壁から突出した外周部に発生した静電気は、その操作ツマミの外周部に最も近い導電物であるアース部に常に飛ぶこととなり、操作型電子部品のみにてアースを取ることができる。

以下、本発明の一実施例について回転操作型電子部品を例にして図1〜図3により説明する。

なお、本実施例において、前述の従来例で説明した構成部分と同じ部分については、同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。

図1および図2において、21は従来例と同様に活電部2を形成すると共に連結部21Aにて桟部21Bと活電部2に連結したアース部22を連続的に一体に打ち抜き形成されたフープ状の導電金属板であり、23は活電部2並びにアース部22をインサート成形した樹脂製のケースである。

このように構成されたケース23は、次工程にて従来例と同様にして活電部2の接点部2Bおよび端子部2Cを形成すると共に、アース部22の連結部21Aを切断箇所21Cにて切断し、アース部22の避雷針部22Aとなる平板を上方に、またアース端子22Bとなる平板を下方に折り曲げ形成し、図2に示すような完成状態のケース23を作製するものである。

そして、上記ケース23を用いて組み立てた回転操作型電子部品24を、図3の如く、アース端子22Bをセットの配線基板25のアース配線部分25Aに電気的に接続し、かつ、アース部22をセットの外周面に最も近くなるように実装すれば、アース部22の避雷針部22Aが操作ツマミ6に最も近い距離の導電物となるため、静電気は常に避雷針部22Aに飛び、アース端子22Bを介しアース配線部分25Aに落ちるため、従来必要であった金属板9がなくてもアースを確実に取ることができるようになる。

尚、上記の実施例を説明する図2および図3では、アース部22の避雷針部22Aとなる平板を中央上方に、アース端子22Bとなる平板を左右の下方に折り曲げ形成する場合を示したが、これは、避雷針部22Aとなる平板を左右の上方に、アース端子22Bとなる平板を中央下方に配してもよいことは勿論である。

また、本構成においてアース部22は、操作型電子部品24に内蔵され、かつ出力端子2Cと、アース端子22Bを同一方向に略同寸法で突出するように引出し形成することにより、配置位置精度が良いため自動実装接続も可能であり、セットの組立工数を更に削減できるという効果も得られる。

【発明の効果】
本発明は、上記実施例より明らかなように、活電部である導電体とアース部である導電体を一体の金属板上に設け、両者を樹脂製ケースにインサート成形にて固定後、両者間の連結された部分を切断して電気的に分離し、活電部とセットの外装壁から突出する操作ツマミの外周部分との間にアース部を配する構成としたため、操作型電子部品を実装するだけでアースがとれ、かつ、活電部用の端子とアース用の端子を配線基板に同時に半田付接続できる構造のため、セットの自動実装にも対応でき、セット組立の部品点数並びに組立工数を大幅に削減できるものである。
