High symmetry optical system
The present invention is premised on a lens system having curved surface symmetry. Such a system
This is already described in patent publication 1) as patent US 5004328.
The special case of concentrically arranged spheres and hollow spheres is dealt with in this publication.
It is. The purpose of the present invention is also for cases where concentric symmetry is not so special.
Used to further widen the range of application and more accurate color wavelength error and curved surface chromatic aberration
It is to be able to correct it. In that case, it is possible to increase the light power, and
The purpose is to gain the freedom of optical design, for example, the collection of solar heat, etc.
Optical design is inevitably needed for such purposes. Patent Publication 1)
Since the two radii always have the same numerical value in each pair,
The correction is limited, but what the present invention specifically intends is that this aberration is at a much lower level.
Is to bring to.
The present invention is specifically intended to correct the color wavelength error with a numerical aperture of 5 in the lens system.
The maximum spherical focal length of 200 mm is reduced by reducing the spherical illumination error that remains after correction as much as possible.
The purpose of the system is to make it possible to project an image whose bending is limited.
The area of interest covers more than 20600 square degrees and is, for example, a hemisphere with a diameter of 400 mm.
Image on top. Correspondingly, with the same numerical aperture of the present invention, the maximum focal length of 500 mm
The image quality at the stem is 0.02 mm or less between the c-F line of the light spectrum and the scattering plate.
Must correspond to what is.
Then, the resolution function of the current state-of-the-art detector module ...
CCD-pixel width could be adapted. In this case, the image is half with a diameter of 1000 mm
It will be tied on the ball. This goal should be achieved in as few areas as possible.
It is. Another object of the present invention is to reduce the curved image area of the lens system (1).
Always adapt to the flat surface of multiple detectors (6), even in small quantities, at this time
Even if the balance of this system adapts, it will not be destroyed as much as possible.
It is to be.
It is also an object of the present invention to refine the correction of the spherical zone error.
In addition, the method of transmitting the information obtained by the present invention, especially the lens system of the present invention,
Give an example of applying the system (1) as a projection system for movie technology.
You.
In order to focus the lens system (1) on various target distances,
Of course, it is also important to have various possibilities.
Therefore, the light coming from the target surface (0) is reflected by the lens inside which the diaphragm (2) is attached.
An optical system was created that fits in the system (1).
Curved screen (3) with lens system (1) and detector (6) attached
All radii of share substantially the same fixed point, ie the fixed point of the aperture (2)
You. In principle, all optical materials between these concentrically formed radii
It doesn't matter if they are different things. That means mounting on the left and right of the aperture (2)
This means that petri dishes with the same geometrical shape can be made of different optical materials.
. However, the optical materials attached to the right and left of the free aperture of the diaphragm (2) are the same.
It is desirable that it should be one that does not cause color expansion error.
After all, the reflecting surface (4) can be attached so that the fixed point of the diaphragm (2) is concentric,
It can refract light and increase the optical power of the optical system if necessary.
To make the spherical zone error correction more precise, the plane of the diaphragm (2) is not spherical
A compensator plate (5) can be mounted on this surface, the Schmidt reflector system
The Schmid plate of is applied. Curved image area of lens system (1)
To flatten the area (3), a small flattening lens (7) is placed in the plane of the image area (3).
Can be mounted a little while ago, with a flattening lens (7) on a flat detector (6)
It enables the projection of almost the same size as the image of. At this time, the surface of the detector (6) is a bay
A plane parallel to the contact surface of the curved image area (3) is formed.
Image information on a curved image area is recorded using a matrix arrangement of CCD-image receptor
-The processing becomes the claim (10). At this time, the recording of information is VIDEO
It can be done by the usual electronic methods as well as recording on tape or other information devices.
Allowing to focus different image distances for different target distances
Is the purpose of the present invention, but the important thing is to share the fixed point of the aperture (2).
Image area (3) attached so that this image area is curved depending on the image distance
The radii will be different, but ...
It is important not to break the symmetry. It for this
Most of the radius of curvature of the detector surface that closely fits each image area (3) is continued
The operation to change the target is performed. This solution is claimed in Claim (11), and the aperture (
It passes through the fixed point of 2) and is symmetrical with the rotational trajectory of the axis standing on the surface perpendicular to it.
A lower jacket type section (8) is fitted. This section is axis
You can move quite a bit in the direction of, and also between each other.
The front side of this cylinder jacket type section (8) is in close contact with the image area (3).
However, it is also possible to attach a detector module (6) here, or use a cylinder
The jacket section itself can also be a light-transmitting father.
User can send the image to a flat detector (6) for further processing.
You can also do When focusing on image areas (3) with different degrees of curvature,
It is necessary to shift the under jacket sections (8) in various ways.
However, for this purpose, it is possible to make it possible, for example, by making good use of mechanical devices.
You. The position of this device and the size of the movement that shifts the position each time ... This movement is on-axis
The detector module (6) is required for focusing ... but etc.
Derives the control scale from the
-Instruct the jacket type module (8) to automatically move correctly
.
At this time, it is desirable to install the cylinder jacket type section (8) in the middle four.
Adjust the dust to the shape of the front surface ... Cylinder jacket when processing the maximum adjustment area
Make sure that the front spacing of each of the hoods (8) is as small as possible
··Choose.
The concentric optical system has a major weakness: the region of interest (0) is very distant and
Focusing on differently curved image areas (3) when the remote distances are different
It does not have the function to say. This big weakness also balances the concentric array in this way.
You can make up for it without spoiling it.
Adjust the radius almost continuously to differently curved image areas (3) to make this more precise.
The function of densification is simply the cylinder for the image area (3) in question.
Effectively adapting the number of jacketed sections and their front geometry
It is just an operation. If you don't have this kind of feature to focus
, The image distance and image of the lens system (1) according to the target distance with the highest video frequency.
It is desirable to have the same radius of the image area (3). The advantage of this system is that
The image quality is similar to that of the on-axis image, and light is wasted in the surrounding area.
That's a few.
For example, with an ordinary eye lens with a flat image area,
The light power is only 1/6 of the light power on the axis perpendicular to the diaphragm surface.
In contrast, in the present invention, the brightness of the periphery of the combined image area is the same for the target territory.
In the case of illuminating, 1/2 of the illuminance at the intersection of the plane perpendicular to the aperture (2) and the image area (3)
is there. From this, "on the axis perpendicular to the diaphragm surface, the image quality is up to 180 degrees in diameter.
It is defined as "at least the image quality that can be achieved in the field of view".
In other words, a very surprising thing is possible: the aperture normal and the image area (3
) If the image quality with the bending limited is obtained by the interface of
Even in 3), it is meant that the image quality can be obtained without being bent and with no distortion.
To taste. From this fact, this system was decided at a certain point on the earth, for example.
It is possible to limit the bending of the entire starry sky visible at time and project it without distortion.
I can say clearly. This makes it at least perfect in this respect.
Claim (10) claims that the system of the present invention is arranged in a matrix form.
The module (6), for example made up of a CCD
That is.
The flattening lens (7) is installed in front of the detector module (6)
Is also the scope of claim (10). Image flattened on each detector module (6)
To obtain the image, the radius of each flattening lens is marked in the required range (10).
Choose as you see.
Curve these lenses appropriately, that is, set the radius of curvature of the flattening lens (7) to R1el.
And the ratio of R2el brings about the distortion that this lens itself brought about, especially
Aberration that is the cause can be suppressed to the minimum. Flattened lens in special cases
Install (7) so that the surface facing the detector module is flat.
The radius of each flattening lens (7) facing the lens system (1) is
R1el = (nel-1) / nel * R image area [1]
At this time, the R image area represents the curvature radius of the image area (3). If this value is negative
Indicates that the input light is concave. So in this special case
The radius R1el facing the lens system (1) is also negative and is not concave with respect to the input light.
You. The material of the flattening lens (7) is as low as possible the refractive index nel, that is,
It is desirable to select a material with a high Abbe index. The present invention can also be used for space observation.
In this case, the system should be designed and adjusted to the average objective distance that is considered necessary.
The position of the object imaged in this way can be directly detected by the receiving pixel in this way.
, It is also necessary to install a distortion corrector like when using a normal eye lens,
Or, there is no need to correct the distortion when observing a moving object.
The present invention can also be applied to the filming of a "surrounding camera" in movies. At the same time, an example
For example, it can be applied when projecting a movie shot with a camera to which the system of the present invention is applied.
Wear. For this purpose, as described in claim 15, a pair of lens systems (1)
Mounts a light-transmitting unit that can control each module on the quadrant (0)
I can. For example, an LCD, an LED or an image reproducing tube can be used.
Another field of application of the invention is in endoscopes. Direction of the endoscope in the body by using the present invention
Not only does it open up new and better ways to play, but also these two
Artificial eyes "can be used to obtain a three-dimensional direction, and the images obtained here can be processed by a computer.
Can be done.
The lens system according to the patent publication 1) also partially has the good function as in the present invention.
However, in the case of publicity, each medium is a sphere or
Due to the concentric arrangement of the hollow spheres, design freedom is greatly restricted,
From the perspective of an ideal design that fits the purpose, if design freedom is limited
This means that in a series of cases, it becomes a design weak point from the beginning. The present invention
A joint image that is also concentric with respect to which concentrically fixed target petri dish (0)
It has been proved that the image can be provided without distortion on the image dish (3).
I have. The image without any distortion on the curved screen (3) is distorted as it is
It is possible to change it to a flat image, and for that purpose a curved image petri dish
Each point of the image of, and each point of the image projected on the plane, the curved image area (3)
Projected so that each point created and the fixed point of the diaphragm (2) are connected by a straight line
Needs to be done. If you try to satisfy this condition, the image will not be distorted even on a flat surface.
If you want to get an image, it is imaged with a curved and concentrically arranged image dish (3).
The starting point and the ending point of the optical line connecting the two-dimensional image should be fixed. Th
Even if you do such a "projection", it is a weak point that the diameter of the light guide is constant.
And the farther the points of the image on the plane are, the closer they are to the neighboring points.
Disappears, that is, a "dark" part is created. Light in a very prominent case, for example
If you install the straight line connecting the start and end points of the line parallel to the perpendicular of the diaphragm plane,
Negative distortion can be generated in the converted image, and in some cases electronic distortion can be removed.
It must be Raise the curved image area (3) of the lens system (1)
Use an optical material such as sfiber and transmit to a flat detector if possible
The possibility is that the claim (11).
Other configurations of the invention are set forth in the other claims.
Next, the present invention will be described with reference to various embodiments.

The size is shown. Light coming from a point on the target surface (0) (this part is not drawn)
Is the lens system 1 with the aperture (2) attached, and finally the screen (3)
Hit
The fixed point of the diaphragm (2) is the lens system (1), the curved image area (3) and the target area.
It is desirable that the fixed points are all the optically active regions of the region (0). Screen (3
) Has a detector (6). One or more in front of screen (3)
An image area flattening lens (7) can be arranged to achieve flattening. This plane correction
The lens (7) is attached parallel to the contact surface of the curved image area (3).
The reflecting surface (4) arranged so as to be concentric with the fixed point of the diaphragm (2) emits light (not shown).
Refraction). Install a correction plate (5) that is not a curved surface on the plane of the diaphragm (2)
Can be done. A light-conducting module (8) is attached to the flat part of the area (3)
I have. The afocal adapter system (9) is in front of the lens system (1)
It can be attached, and the diaphragm (2) is an afocal adapter system.
It overlaps with the actual exit hole position of the tem (9). The screen (3) has a reflector (10)
You can do it, and by doing this, a retrograde reflector is born.
Example 1
Shown in Table 1 is the wavelength length of the type of glass used in Example 1.
It is design data in which an assumed refractive index is added.
The item "Space" is the distance from the relevant surface to the next surface in the direction of light incidence
Is shown.
As a result, the radius of the curved area (3) is: R Image area = -499.788mm
You.
The structure of the embodiment is arranged so as to be concentric with the fixed point of the diaphragm (2) in order from the incident light.
ZK1, hemispherical dish made of glass labeled 533580, followed by Fluorit (glass labeled 43495
4) Lens made of this lens, which is concentric with the fixed point of the diaphragm on the left and right of the flat surface of the diaphragm (2)
The boundary is limited by the two radii. These two radii have different sizes in real numbers.
It is. Following this, the glass marking 540511 made of KF1 is also concentric with the fixed point of the diaphragm.
The hemispherical petri dishes arranged in series are followed. Limit the boundaries of the examples to make things easier
Select both outer radii that are numerically the same, and inspect the entire system as easily as possible
I can do it.
However, in the present invention, it is not a normal condition to make the radius the same, and
If the diameters are not the same, for example, to precisely correct the remaining spherical error on the spherical iris.
Therefore, the freedom of design can be expanded. If the outer radii are made the same in real numbers,
However, the embodiment of the present invention may differ from the system claimed in the publication 1).
I am
The optical material that surrounds the left and right of the aperture (2), that is, Fluorit here,
, Is bounded by two radii that are distinctly different in real numbers, followed by
Hemispherical petri dishes have different thickness and different materials. As a result, according to the first embodiment of the present invention,
However, it differs from the system consisting of concentric spheres and hollow spheres in the patent publication 1).
It is obvious that
The free aperture of the system with a diameter of 100 mm is the same as that of the diaphragm (2) of Example 1 due to the e-line.
It is realized by setting the free opening to 69.689 mm.
Example 2
When the wavelength is 546 nm in Example 1, the light wave front aberration is 1.044 hz / 486 nm, 0.592 hz.
/ 546nm and 0.581hz / 656nm.
In the second embodiment, the present invention has more design freedom than the scope of the patent publication.
Explain the possibilities. The present invention succeeded in further reducing the spot diameter
However, more importantly, the front wave aberration can be reduced significantly. 5 and 6
, 7, the Rayleigh standard of the reference bending limited image is ¼ wavelength,
From this, it can be seen that this criterion is satisfied at the average wavelength. In Figure 4 this
The attached spot diagram is shown.
A small circle is an Airy-disk at a wavelength of 546 nm.
In the embodiment in which the focal length is reduced to 200 mm, it becomes very clear even with the same aperture number of 5.
Bending is restricted. This is because the front aberration of the light wave depends linearly on the system scale.
Because it does.
Therefore, even if the numerical aperture is lowered, the bending can be restricted.
Table 2 below shows the design data for Example 2.
This gives a radius of the curved image area (3): R image area = -499.9003 mm.
The free diameter of the diaphragm (2) is 73.695 mm, and a parallel light beam with a diameter of 100 mm is used in the embodiment (2).
To be able to enter the lens system (1).
The focal length of the image area is 500 mm, which gives a numerical aperture of 5 in the embodiment (2).
You.
Example 3
In the third embodiment, the application of the correction surface which is not the spherical surface which is the scope of claim (6) is explained.
I will tell.
The correction plate (5) in the embodiment (3) is an aerence. Correction plate that is not spherical (
The surface of 5) is formed on the lens petri dish surface adjacent to the diaphragm (2). I was here
Even a simple example made of just one type of glass has a field of view of 6 degrees and a wavelength of 486 nm.
It turns out to be ideal. The diffuser plate is 0,0078 mm or less. Color wavelength error
You can also supplement and correct a concentric petri dish using other optical materials. surface
(2) is the surface just before the diaphragm plane (2) toward the entrance of light.
Point. The surface (3) is directly behind the diaphragm plane (2) towards the entrance of the light.
Refers to the surface that follows.
These two positions are distorted planes that are not spherical, but usually have a star radius.
In the case of a unit in which lenses are arranged, spherical chromatic aberration can be reversed to produce a chromatic wave.
It is possible to minimize it by using long error.
In Example 3, the two surfaces are separated by an air lens. The point to note is this
Try to keep the spacing as small as possible and avoid concentric symmetry as much as possible.
To be. The two Lens Petri dishes on the left and right of the diaphragm (2) are made of the same optical material.
Use to prevent color expansion error. In this embodiment, BK7 is used
You.
Surfaces 2 and 3 have the following results.
Surface 2: z = 1,123535 * 10-7* mm-3* rFour-8,06055 * 10-11* mm-Five* r6
Surface 3: z = 8,314804 * 10-8* mm-3* rFour-8,223996 * 10-11* mm-Five* r6
In this case, r indicates the coordinate radius on the plane in mm, and this plane stands perpendicular to the optical axis.
There are vertices on each surface, and z has a mathematical meaning. The table below is an example
The data of 3 are shown.
The ideally adjusted radius of curvature of the image area (3) is: R image area = -372.7853mm
Since the arrangement which becomes is a high order aberration on the correction plate (5), it is no longer completely concentric.
Yes. The free diameter of the diaphragm (2) is 66.051 mm.
Example 4
In the fourth embodiment, the data of the image area flattening lens (7) of the second embodiment can be actually supplied.
It is calculated based on the new detector module (6).
To make things easier, the image area going to each detector module 6
The radius of the area flattening lens (7) shall form a plane. This makes equalization [
2] to the lens system (1)
It becomes as follows:
In the case of BK7 / wavelength 486.13 mm R1el = 171.5321 mm
Looking at this value, the entire image area (3) projected by the lens system (1) is the only large
It can be seen that it is impossible to flatten with the mold image area flattening lens (7).
However, as shown in the patent application range (10), a plurality of plane correction lenses (
7) can be attached, the correction lens then being the curvature of the lens system (1)
The image areas (3) are attached so as to be in contact with each other. That is, plane correction lens
Z (7) emerges from a certain object and is perpendicular to the main ray passing through the fixed point of the diaphragm (2).
You are standing. The central thickness of the image area flattening lens (7) is usually thin.
Should be. The flat surface of the plane correction lens (7) is the detector module in the fourth embodiment.
Directly over the surface of the ruler (6), but this is not a common condition. Flattening lens (
Properly curving 7) can almost eliminate the distortion caused.
You.
The following table (4) shows the data of the image area flattening lens (7), and the interval
Is from the last lens vertex of the lens system (1) of Example 2. flat
The thickness of the central part of each photographic lens is 1 mm. The rear radius R2el is
It becomes a plane. The term "spacing" refers to the front portion of each flattening lens (7) of Example 2.
The distance from the apex to the apex of the last surface of the lens (1) is shown. The screen is a flattened lens
Overlap with the surface of.
The flattening lens (7) is adjusted to the regions of interest 2, 4, 8 and 16 degrees.
With reference to the attached FIGS. 11 to 14, the image quality in the flattened image area is surprisingly good.
I understand that
Example 5
In the fifth embodiment, the invention is applied to a movie projector as shown in the scope of patent application 15.
It is.
Therefore, based on the second embodiment, the screen (3) becomes the target surface (0), and here,
Light-emitting modules that can be controlled one by one are arranged in a matrix. Example 5
Assumes a projection distance of 40 meters. This will be used as a projector
Due to the relationship with the fixed point of the diaphragm of the present invention system, the screening hall also has a radius of 40 meters.
Shall decide. For this reason, the second embodiment is adjusted to ideally match the determined projection distance.
Be adjusted. Further, the optical path is directed in the opposite direction to that of the second embodiment by the lens system (1)
Is done. The screen (3) of this embodiment is the target surface (0). In any case the bay
The curvature should be slightly higher to fit a projection distance of 40m. Purpose of this implementation
Does not require any other lens system (1) changes, but in some cases further
By adding, it is possible to refine the image correction.
Target area radius: When the image area radius is R image area = 40.000 mm
R target area = -506.1935 mm.
As a result, the image size m of R image area / R target area is
It becomes m = 79.021165 [2]
Example 6
Example 6 shows an application range 16 of the present invention.
For this purpose, a reflecting mirror is used on the image plane (3). As a lens system (1)
The thing of Example 2 is used. Here the image area (3) plane of the lens system (1)
A spherical cavity reflecting mirror (10) is attached to. At this time, the cavity mirror (10)
The radius of curvature R1sph is the same as the radius of the image area of the lens system 1 of the second embodiment.
. This gives:
R1sph = -499.9003mm.
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be listed.
1. The lens system (1) with the diaphragm (2) and the detector (6) are arranged.
And an image area (3) concentric with a fixed point of the diaphragm (2)
At
All radii that make up the lens system (1) are substantially concentric to a common point
Are arranged in a similar manner, and this common point is the curved image of the diaphragm (2) and lens system (1).
It is also the fixed point of the region and its associated curved region of interest, and the maximum of these radii
It has an angle of 180 degrees and limits the maximum boundary of the radial petri dish ending in the plane of the diaphragm (2).
Setting
Located between concentric petri dishes, each formed by a concentric radius, and squeezed
