無菌箱形パッケージ
背景技術
本発明は、容器に係り、特に厚紙(ペイパーボード)から形作られ、液体や他
の食品のための無菌パッケージに適合した煉瓦タイプ容器に関する。煉瓦タイプ
容器は、概略直方体状の角筒で、その名前を普通の建築用煉瓦の形状との類似性
からとっている。典型的には、パッケージの一端にプラスチック製の注ぎ口が取
り付けられている。注ぎ口は、注口ノズルと捩子キャップとを含んでいる。容器
がそれから形作られる材料は、典型的には、その片面又は両面に高分子被覆材料
などの従来周知の単層又は複層の被覆材料が被覆されている。
容器及び注ぎ口の蛇口構造の一般的タイプの一例が、川尻等の米国特許番号第
4、948、015号及び第5、027、979号並びに野村の米国特許番号第
4、483、464号に記載されている。このような容器は、典型的には、牛乳
やジュースなどの液体を形態するためのパッケージとして用いられてきた。煉瓦
タイプ容器はパッケージの1つの形態であるが、注ぎ口及び容器の構造は、他の
形状のパッケージ、例えば、切り妻形状の頂部を有する容器にも使用可能である
ことは明らかである。
発明の概要
本発明の実施形態によれば、注ぎ出し用注ぎ口及び無菌煉瓦タイプ容器の最良
の寸法及び形状が得られる。採用された特定の接着剤、漏れを防止するのに必要
な接着剤被覆面積、接着剤の量及びパッケージ上の注ぎ口の特定の位置、並びに
注口用開口上の押し出し物不存在領域などが、最良の結果のために採用されてい
る。典型的には、本発明を実施するに際して、やってくる充填された無菌煉瓦タ
イプパッケージ(そのパッケージには牛乳、ジュースが充填されている)に注ぎ

発明の詳細な説明
図1を参照すると、ペイパーボードその他の堅く、折り畳み可能で、且つ弾性
を有する材料からなる一体のブランクが、参照番号10として示されている。ペ
イパーボードブランクは、水平な中央縦軸と垂直な中央横軸とを有する長方形の
もので、2本の水平な刻み線12を有している。縦方向に伸びる折り線20、2
4、26及び28は、ペイパーボードブランクの頂縁から底縁まで伸びている。
ペイパーボードブランクの左右の縁とそれぞれの刻み線20との距離部分は、左

図1のペイパーボードブランクは、当業界で周知のように、折り畳まれ、糊付
