された飛散防止カバーである。

内槽4a内には旋回流が形成増幅せられ、且つ、廃水は
摺鉢形傾斜面に沿って周辺部から旋回上昇し中央部から
下降して対流作用を生じ、従って廃水中の浮遊物や沈殿
物が強力に攪拌されつつポンプ吸込口8から吸い込まれ
ることになる。そして両内槽4a,4b内の水位が槽底
近くの所定の停止水位まで達すると水中汚物ポンプ7は
停止する。この間、揚送排出されるのは主内槽4a内の
廃水のみでなく、予備内槽4b内の廃水をも流通溝5を
介して揚送排出させるのである。これは単に予備内槽4
b内に廃水を残留させないというだけのことではない。
その分上記旋回流の形成時間が持続させられることにな
るのである。つまり、主内槽4a内における浮遊物や沈
殿物の攪拌時間がそれだけ増大されるということであ
