るから、フランジの損傷防止には有効であった。しか
し、前記のように隔膜13のフランジ14の外周側に溝
15を設けて、この溝15へ弾性層16を付設した支持
リング17を係合させると、容器主体18への装着前
は、隔膜13のフランジ14の下側が図5に示すように
支持リング17へ密着しているが、隔膜13を容器主体
1内へ支持リング17が段部19に係止されるまで装入
して、蓋体20の締着により加圧すると、フランジ14
が下側へはみ出して溝15の下面と支持リング17の下
面との間に空間21を生じさせる。この空間21が生じ
た状態で隔膜13内に窒素ガス等の封入を行うと、前記
空間21の部分が押し込まれる結果、フランジ14の下
側が図6に示すような極端な折れ曲がりを生ずる変形と
なる。そして容器主体1へ液体が出入するとこの変形し
た部分が上下への伸び縮みを繰り返すため、隔膜13の
フランジ下の部分が損傷されるという新たな問題点を生
じた。

と、そのフランジ下の部分が容器主体と支持リングとで
構成される角部へ押し付けられるが、この角部は支持リ
ングの斜面によって鈍角に形成されていて、フランジ下
の曲がりを無理のない状態に制限するから、容器主体へ
の液体の出入によって隔膜の変形が繰り返されてもその
フランジ下の部分が損傷されることはないので、隔膜を
長期間にわたり故障なく確実に作動させることができる
