Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently evaporate defrosted water by increasing the area of an evaporating dish. SOLUTION: An evaporating dish 33 for receiving and stroring defrosted water can be housed so as to be loaded and unloaded from the lower side to the rear side of a condenser 11 and a condenser fan 28. In the rear surface of a fan cover 25, an air guide 41 for applying air from the condenser fan 28 toward the rear end part of the evaporating dish 33 is provided. Defrosted water produced in a cooler is stored in the evaporating dish 33 through a drain pipe 38. The condenser fan 28 is rotated during a cooling operation, go that air outside a machine chamber 3 is sucked, passes through the condenser 11 to cool the condenser 11, and then, hot exhaust air is applied to the evaporating dish 33 by the air guide 41. Thus, the defrosted water is urged to evaporate. Thus, the area of the evaporating dish 33 can be increased even in a narrow machine chamber 3. Further, since the hot exhaust air is actively applied to the evaporating dish 33 by the air guide 41, the defrosted water can be efficiently evaporated.

2. Description of the Related Art As an evaporator of this type, an evaporator tray for receiving defrosting water from a cooler is installed behind a condenser fan attached to the condenser, and It is known that the warm exhaust gas after cooling the air is blown out from the condenser fan and applied to the stored defrost water to be evaporated. Here, one of the factors for efficient evaporation is how to make the area of the evaporating dish large, but especially in the case of a small refrigerator where the machine room has to be small, the installation space of the evaporating dish is limited. Therefore, such an evaporator is not suitable.

Another major element for efficient evaporation is to apply warm exhaust gas strongly to the defrost water in the evaporation dish. In that case, for example, if the humidity around the refrigerator is high or the number of times the door is opened and closed is large and the defrosted water storage amount tends to increase, the warm exhaust gas is strongly applied to the defrosted water to the evaporation tray. There was a risk of spilling from the edge, and this was also a room for improvement. The present invention has been completed in view of the above points,
The purpose is to make the area of the evaporation dish large even in a small machine room so that the defrosting water can be efficiently evaporated. Another object is to prevent defrost water from spilling from the evaporation dish when hot air is strongly blown to improve evaporation efficiency.

This embodiment has a structure as described above,
Subsequently, the operation will be described. The defrosting water generated from the cooler 12 by the defrosting operation or the like flows into the evaporation tray 33 through the drain pipe 38 and is stored therein. Further, cleaning water after cleaning the condenser 11 and the like is also stored in the evaporation tray 33 from the drain port. Then, during the cooling operation, the condenser fan 28 is rotationally driven, so that the air outside the machine room 3 flows into the condenser 11 through the ventilation holes 8 of the front panel 7 and the air filter 30 and is heat-exchanged. The warm exhaust of is guided by the lower air guide 41,
As shown by the arrows in FIGS. 6 and 7, the defrosted water w stored in the evaporation dish 33 is strongly sprayed, and the evaporation of the defrosted water w stored in the evaporation dish 33 is promoted.

As described above, according to this embodiment, the evaporation dish 3
Since 3 is installed from the condenser 11 to the lower side of the condenser fan 28, the area of the evaporation tray 33 can be made large even in the narrow machine room 3, and the air guide 41 can be used for warm exhaust. The defrosting water w can be efficiently evaporated because the defrosting water w is actively sprayed toward the evaporation tray 33. Further, in a state where a large amount of defrost water w is stored in the evaporation tray 33, even if the warm exhaust gas is strongly blown to increase the evaporation efficiency, the defrost water w directed to the trailing edge side of the evaporation tray 33 is returned. It is returned inward by the part 36 and is effectively prevented from spilling.
