稼働時において回転するスクリューの内周面が濾過部材
の外周面と摺接することで、濾過部材の外周面に付着し
ていた切削屑はスクリューの内周面によって掻き落とさ
れ、もって切削屑の付着による濾過部材の目詰りが未然
に防止されることとなる。また、スクリューを動作させ
ている駆動手段により、濾過部材をスクリューに対して
相対移動しつつ回転動作させることによって、稼働時に
おいて濾過部材の特定部分に切削屑が溜まることを防止
し、もって濾過部材に切削屑が付着することによる濾過
能力の低下を未然に防止することが可能となる。さら
に、強固な材料から成るスクリューは、濾過部材との摺
接を繰り返しても容易に磨耗することはなく、このため
長期に亘って濾過部材から切削屑を掻落とすことができ
る。したがって、本発明に関わる切削屑搬送装置によれ
ば、長期に亘って安定した状態で切削屑と切削油とを分
離し、切削屑の搬送および切削油の回収を実施すること
が可能となる。
