2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a coating layer is provided on the surface of a rod by spray coating or the like in order to decorate a fishing rod, protect the rod, and impart functionality to the rod. This coating layer may have a laminated structure of different coatings, or the ends of different coatings may come into contact to form a coating boundary. In these cases, for example, FIG.
, A surface coating film 72 is formed on the rod pipe 71,
When the anti-slip coating film 73 is partially formed on the surface coating film 72, the anti-slip coating film 73, which is a coating film having relatively poor durability, is peeled off from the surface coating film 72 after long-term use. Or the end 73a of the anti-slip coating film 73 is damaged.

Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-178636 discloses a fishing rod having a coating film having a narrow width formed on the end portion of the coating film as a means for preventing such damage and peeling of the coating film. However, in this fishing rod, the manufacturing cost increases because the step of forming a thin coating film is added. In addition, there is a problem that the appearance is deteriorated due to the narrow coating film. The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a fishing rod that is free from damage or peeling at the coating boundary portion and has excellent durability and appearance.

In the present invention, the durability of the coating film means that at least one property of adhesion, hardness, abrasion resistance, weather resistance and water resistance of the coating film is maintained for a long period of time. Further, in the present invention, covering the end of the coating film means
It is to cover at least the end surface of the coating film. Therefore,
Covering the end of the coating film with poor durability with a coating film with excellent durability means that when the coating film ends are in contact with each other to form a coating boundary, adhesion, hardness, wear resistance, It means that at least one end surface of a coating film inferior in the above properties is covered with a coating film excellent in at least one property of weather resistance and water resistance.

The rod tube is made of, for example, fiber reinforced prepreg (FRP). FRP is obtained by impregnating a reinforcing fiber aligned in a specific direction with a resin, and as the reinforcing fiber constituting the fiber reinforced prepreg, carbon fiber, glass fiber, alumina fiber, aramid fiber or the like can be used. As the resin to be impregnated, epoxy resin, phenol resin, polyester resin and the like can be used.

As shown in FIG. 2, the portion A in FIG.
An undercoat coating layer 5 is formed on the rod tube 1, and a surface coating film 6 and a non-slip coating film 7 are formed on the undercoat coating layer 5. The surface coating film 6 is superposed on the anti-slip coating film 7 so as to cover the end portion 7a of the anti-slip coating film 7 at the coating boundary portion with the anti-slip coating film 7. That is, in the coating boundary portion, the surface coating film 6 is positioned above the anti-slip coating film 7 and the overlapping portion 6a is formed.

In the present invention, since it is sufficient that the surface coating film 6 covers the end portion 7a of the anti-slip coating film 7, the size of the overlapping area of the surface coating film 6 and the anti-slip coating film 7 is limited. Although not limited, it is preferably 1 to 10 mm in consideration of weight and appearance.

In the fishing rod having the above structure, the end portion 7a of the non-slip coating film 7 which is a coating film having relatively low durability (in this case, hardness is small) has relatively high durability (in this case, Since it is covered with the surface coating film 6 which is a coating film having a high hardness), the end portion 7a of the anti-slip coating film 7 is sufficiently protected and damage or peeling at the end portion 7a is prevented. Therefore, this fishing rod can exhibit high durability over a long period of time. According to this fishing rod, even if the particles are mixed or the hard anti-slip coating film 7 is used, the end portion 7a can be sufficiently prevented from being peeled off or damaged.

In the case of forming the coating layer having the above structure,
For example, the base coating layer 5 is formed on the rod tube 1 by ironing with an epoxy resin coating. Masking with a tape on a predetermined area of the base coating layer 5 (area where the surface coating film 6 is formed), and gun spray coating with urethane resin coating over the entire surface in this state, the coating film is dried or semi-dried. Then, the tape is removed to form a non-slip coating film 7 on a predetermined area of the base coating layer 5.

The present invention can be implemented with various modifications other than the above embodiment. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, an intermediate coating layer 8 may be provided between the base coating layer 5 and the surface coating film 6 and the non-slip coating film 7. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the overlapping portion 6a of the surface coating film 6 has a non-slip coating film 7 even if it is peeled off due to long-term use, as shown in FIG.
Since the end portion 7a, specifically, the end surface, is covered with the surface coating film 6, the peeling does not proceed any more, and damage or peeling at the end portion 7a is prevented.

Also in this case, the end surface of the anti-slip coating film 7 which is a coating film having relatively low durability is covered by the end surfaces of the surface coating film 6 and the intermediate coating layer 8 which are relatively highly durable coating films. Therefore, the end surface of the anti-slip coating film 7 is sufficiently protected, and the end surface is prevented from being damaged or peeled. Therefore, this fishing rod can exhibit high durability over a long period of time.

Next, an embodiment performed to clarify the effects of the present invention will be described. (Example 1) A fiber reinforced prepreg obtained by impregnating carbon fibers aligned in a specific direction with an epoxy resin is wound to form a rod tube, an undercoating layer is formed on the rod tube, and the surface coating in the undercoating layer is performed. Mask the area where the film is to be formed with tape, and then in this state, use gun spray coating with urethane resin coating to dry the coating film, or remove the tape in a semi-dry state to remove the tape and apply it to the prescribed area of the base coating layer. A non-slip coating film was formed on.

The durability of the region including the paint boundary of the obtained fishing rod was examined. The results are shown in Table 1 below. In addition,
The durability was evaluated by rubbing the area including the coating boundary portion with a rubbing tester and examining the number of times when peeling or damage occurred at the coating film edge portion. (Example 2) A fiber reinforced prepreg obtained by impregnating carbon fibers aligned in a specific direction with an epoxy resin is wound to form a rod tube, an undercoating layer is formed on the rod tube, and the surface coating in the undercoating layer is performed. Masking is applied to the area other than the area where the film is formed with tape, and in this state, ironing is applied to the entire area using urethane resin paint to form an intermediate coating layer.
Further, gun spray coating is applied to the whole surface with a fluororesin paint to form a surface coating film, and the coating film is dried or the tape is removed in a semi-dried state and an intermediate coating is applied to a predetermined area of the base coating layer. Layers and surface coatings were formed.

Then, the surface coating film is masked with a tape, and in this state, gun spray coating is performed with a urethane resin coating over the entire surface, and the coating film is dried or the tape is removed in a semi-dried state to remove the base. A non-slip coating film was formed on the coating layer. The anti-slip coating film was formed so as to cover the end faces of the intermediate coating layer and the surface coating film by masking during coating. In this way, a fishing rod having the coating boundary portion shown in FIG. 6 was produced.
