いる。又、焼成した際にプリプレグの内部より発生した
ガスが竿素材より抜け出て形成されたピンホールが、表
面研磨加工によって表面に浮き出てくることもあるとこ
ろから、そのピンホールを埋める為に、下塗りを必要と
し、これが作業時の手間を増大させていた。本発明の目
的は、製作時の手間を少なくしながら、糸絡みを効果的
に抑制することのできる竿及びその竿の製造方法を提供
する点にある。

竿素材5を形成する。上記した各層をマンドレル1に巻
き付けるには、プリプレグを定盤上にセットしておき、
プリプレグ上にマンドレル1を載せ付けて、マンドレル
1をプリプレグとともにその軸芯周りで回転させて巻き
付け成形する。 図1(ホ)に示すように、竿素材5の表面に吹きつ
けによってウレタン塗装を行い、塗料層6を形成する。
この塗料層6においては、内側に着色塗料層6A外側に
クリアー塗料層6Bを夫々施す。 図1(ヘ)に示すように、塗料層6の外周面にスパ
イラル状にポリエステル等の成形テープ7を巻回き焼成
する。 焼成後、図1(チ)に示すように、成形テープ7を
剥離させ竿素材5を所定長さに裁断して、竿とする。 このように形成された竿の表面におけるクリアー塗料層
6Bに、図1(ト)に示すように、成形テープ7の折り
重なり部分に相当する凹部がスパイラル状に形成されて
凹凸面を形成し、糸絡みを抑制する機能を発揮する。以
上のような製造方法によって成形される竿に使用される
樹脂は、フェノール等の熱硬化性樹脂であり、この樹脂
を炭素繊維等の強化繊維に対してプリプレグ全体重量比
で23〜35%程含浸させてプリプレグを形成してあ
る。このプリプレグは一般に使用されているプリプレグ
(38%〜45%)に比べて低樹脂であるところから、
焼成時の樹脂からのガス発生はすくなく、焼成時にピン
ホール等の発生は少ないと考えられ、塗装を施して更に
その上から成形テープ7を巻回しても、影響は高樹脂プ
リプレグに比べておさえられる。
