Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent positional shift due to undue pressure by disposing a resilient stop plate in the axial direction between a driven side bearing and an oil seal and fitting the resilient stop plate, at one end thereof, to the end face at the outer ring part of driven side bearing and, at the opposite end thereof, to the end face of oil seal. SOLUTION: A vacuum pump 9 is coupled directly with a generator and the shaft 10 of rotor 4 thereof is coupled with the rotor 9a of vacuum pump 9 through a spline 10a. A driven side bearing 7 for the rotor 4 and an oil seal 8 for sealing the generator and the vacuum pump 9 are set in a bracket 6. A resilient stop plate 11 is disposed in the axial direction between the oil seal 8 and the driven side bearing 7 and fitted, at one end thereof, to the end face at the outer ring part of driven side bearing 7 and, at the opposite end thereof, to the end face of oil seal 8. This structure prevents leakage of lubricant due to positional shift caused by an undue pressure of the oil seal 8.
