Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ant-proof and rat-proof covered wire which has a thin covering layer, and a sufficient ant-proof and rat-proof property, by providing a covering layer by using a polyacetal resin or a polyamide resin, adding an ant-proof agent and a rat-proof agent. SOLUTION: In this ant-proof and rat-proof covered wire, a covering layer of a polyacetal resin or a polyamide resin to which a ant-proof agent and a rat-proof agent are added is provided. The polyacetal resin and the polyamide resin are considered to have a property to slip the teeth of the rat and the ant. The ant-proof agent is preferable to be one sort or two or more sorts, selected from phenitrothion, chloropyliphos, and dimetyltolamide.

2. Description of the Related Art Covered electric wires are used in various places, but they are often installed in places such as common grooves, walls, under the floor, and above the ceiling where they are difficult to see. In this case, ants or mice are often damaged by food, resulting in disconnection, electric leakage, and fires and accidents caused by them, which is a serious problem. Here, there has been known a technique of protecting with a metal such as stainless steel or physically strengthening a coating layer by coating with a high-strength material. Further, a method of adding an anti-termite agent or a rodent-proof agent to the polyvinyl chloride resin forming the coating layer has also been known.

However, it has been difficult to obtain sufficient anti-rat and ant-proof effects by these two means. In particular, it was difficult to cope with rats with taste blindness (including cold blind taste blindness) in terms of ratproofness by adding a rodent-proofing agent. As a method for solving the drawbacks of these techniques, it has been known that a coating layer is doubled and a polyvinyl chloride layer containing a high-strength material as an inner layer and an anti-termite agent or a rodent-proofing agent is provided as an outer package. However, the covered electric wire manufactured by this technique is difficult to be applied to a small size product due to its structure, and the manufacturing cost is inevitably high.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the termite-proof / rat-proof coated electric wire of the present invention comprises, as set forth in claim 1, a polyacetal resin containing a termite-proofing agent and a rat-proofing agent. This is a configuration having a coating layer made of polyamide resin. In the present invention, the resin to which the above-mentioned chemicals are added needs to be polyacetal or polyamide. It is believed that these resins have the property of sliding rat and ant teeth. Therefore, mice and ants are "dentless" with respect to the coating layer made of polyacetal or polyamide, and it is considered that the effect of the present invention can be obtained in combination with the effects of the termiticide and the rodent-preventing agent described later. BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION These resins have a Sure D hardness of 50.
It is desirable that this is the case. If the hardness is 50 or less, a sufficient effect cannot be obtained. When the Sure D hardness is 70 or more, a good effect is obtained, and when the Sure D hardness is 80 or more, a higher effect is obtained. The polyacetal and the polyamide have much higher rodent-proof property than other resins such as polyvinyl chloride having the same Sure D hardness.

When using a polyamide resin, it is desirable to select nylon 12 from the viewpoint of extrusion moldability. Regarding the polyacetal resin, a homopolymer type and a copolymer type are known, but the copolymer type is preferable because it has better extrusion moldability. Also,
In the present invention, the termiticide is selected from fenitrothion, chloropyrifos or dimethyltoluamide.
It is preferable to use one kind or two or more kinds because sufficient anti-termite property can be obtained.

On the other hand, the rodent-proofing agent was selected from capsaicin, cycloheximide or copper naphthenate.
It is preferable to use one species or two or more species because sufficient rodent-proof property can be obtained. At this time, capsaicin encapsulated in the microcapsule, and / or cycloheximide encapsulated in the microcapsule does not cause damage such as deterioration during kneading with the resin and processing as a wire coating layer, and the effect is It is preferable because it lasts for a long time.

In the above, when the termite control agent is fenitrothion and the rodent control agent is microencapsulated capsaicin, extremely good termite control and rodent control are obtained. It is desirable that the amount of the ant-preventive agent added is 0.5% by weight to 10% by weight, and the amount of the rodent-proofing agent is 1% by weight or more and 15% by weight or less. These coated electric wires were evaluated for their ant-proof property and rodent-proof property. First, the ant damage test will be described. Gypsum was hardened to a thickness of 5 mm at the bottom of five cylindrical containers with a diameter of 8 cm and a depth of 6 cm, and a sample electric wire (about 5 cm) and a termite (working ant 10
Head, 10 soldier ants). These cylindrical containers are placed in a water tank type glass container in which absorbent cotton containing water is spread to a thickness of 2 cm, and this is placed in a dark place, and the whole is 28 ± 2 ° C, relative humidity 80%. The sample was kept for 10 days, and then the condition of the sample was observed.

The results of these ant damage and rat damage tests were evaluated in four grades A, B, C and D. A
Indicates that there is no trace of being scooped (no food damage), B indicates damage to the coating layer but does not reach the conductor (no food damage), C indicates damage to the conductor (damage to food) , And D indicate that the conductor is also severely damaged (damaged). The results of these evaluations are also shown in Table 1.

According to Table 1 and Table 2, in the case of the covered electric wire according to the prior art, the food damage can be prevented only when the covering layer is as thick as 1 mm, but in the covered electric wire according to the present invention, the thickness of the covering layer is large. It can be seen that even if the thickness is extremely thin, a sufficient anti-termite and rat-proof effect can be obtained. Further, among the above-mentioned examples according to the present invention, for those having no traces engraved in the coating layer, it is not the effect of the rodent-preventing agent or termiticide, but rather the rat or ant's teeth having these coating layers. It is thought that it was because it slipped on the surface. In particular, it is considered that those which obtained such favorable results in the rat-damage test exhibit a sufficient effect even on a taste-blinded mouse in which the effect of the rat-proofing agent is not usually expected.
