Abstract

PURPOSE:To accelerate the recovery of a fault by immediately performing the unmanned calling of an optimum person in charge of maintenance by selectively originating a call to any specified receiver based on priority when any fault is generated at terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:Assuming that the fault charged by a fault code 119 is generated at terminal equipment 13 in an installing zone 2, in this case, fault information is inputted through a telephone line network 17 to the CPU of a monitoring device 18. The CPU retrieves the level code of the fault corresponding to the fault code 119 from a collation table previously registered on an EEPROM and retrieves a person in charge who can deal with the fault level from the collation table. Next, a call is selectively originated through a radio communication network 19 to one of relevant pocket beepers 20 to 23 while interposing the communication control circuit of the monitoring device 18 and the fault information of the terminal equipment 13 is transmitted. Thus, since the unmanned calling of the person in charge of maintenance optimum for fault recovery is performed based on the priority, the time required for calling can be considerably shortened and the fault recovery can be accelerated.
