Detailed Description of the Invention
Coke production for the steel / steel industry
The present invention relates to a method for producing coke for iron / steel making, especially for casting.
Coke with the desired property values, for example a certain mass size and usability
In order to make soot, you need only the input coal that is originally suitable without mixing anything
It is almost impossible to enter. During coke production to obtain desired characteristics
, Especially when manufacturing coke for casting, originally mixing multiple carbon components and coke powder
The crude coal pitch equivalent to about 5% of the anhydrous ashless coal is mixed into the input coal which is the product.
Methods are known.
This binder is especially useful for making casting coke with high carbon content.
Cannot be omitted because coke flour is used as an important carbon component
.
Crude pitch is relatively expensive.
From U.S. Pat. No. 4,234,387, viscous with undesirable coking properties.
The coal-mixing mixture formed as a vacuum distillation residue, for example, during hydrogenation of heavy oil or bitumen.
Metallurgical coke manufacturing processes for mixing mixes are known. However, this vacuum distillation
Residues were generated during hydrogenation of bitumen from tar sands
Is desirable.
The amount of this binder input is up to 20% (of the caking coal mixture), preferably 5%.
15%. The degree of expansion of the coking process mixture produced in this way
The degree of contraction is not so great. The greater the shrinkage, the more
Sintering action of fine caking coal particles at the start of discharge, that is, before softening also increases
. Later, expansion occurs as a result of more gas being released from the caking coal.
This also depends on the formation of the coke network. Manufactured by this known method
Coke therefore has a relatively low stability factor and hardness (ha
The rdness factor) is also relatively small. This means that the rolling resistance is small and
Is relatively large.
Based on the above, in the claims, the reactivity is relatively low and the density is maximum.
Steel / steel industry coke with high carbon content and maximum lump size
Solves the problem of manufacturing
In accordance with the present invention, the range of binders that can be used is expanded and, desirably,
Low cost, yet use as little binder as possible that is harmful to health
it can.
The results of the experiments show that the use of the binder according to the invention leads to a so-called stone
It is possible to achieve the same coke characteristics as when oil pitch is used.
The binder according to the invention is considerably cheaper and has a very low content of carcinogens. Book
The method of the invention is in principle also suitable for the production of blast furnace coke.
Critically important are the additives used in combination with the hydrogenation inputs.
It is desirable that this additive be added in an amount of 1 to 3% by weight based on the total amount of the hydrogenation material.
Good This additive consists of porous carbon bodies, especially coal-based materials.
And its internal surface area is several hundred square meters per gram, typically 300 m2
/ G is reached.
Surprisingly, this additive enhances the reaction stability and quality of hydrogenation products.
Not only that, the coking process according to the present invention forms a coke network.
It also serves as a component of the vacuum hydrogenation residue as one.
The porous carbon body can be produced by various methods and is generally known. Toko
This is coke when combined with the process of the present invention, especially iron / steel making.
The effect on industrial coke was totally unexpected.
Hydrogenation of petroleum and petroleum-based products, such as heavy oil and vacuum distillation residues.
The body is well known and the standard literature on hydrogenation technology "Catalysts of coal, tar and mineral oil"
Pressurized Hydrogenation "(Dr. Walter Konig, Springer-Verlag, 1950)
It is listed. Hydrogenation conditions vary depending on the input material to be hydrogenated, but
The point that hydrogenation is performed by adding hydrogen under high temperature and pressure is the same.
Under various reaction conditions, the system pressure is 100 to 30 when the temperature is 200 to 500 ° C.
Reach 0 bar. This high pressure hydrogenation is carried out in a so-called liquid phase reactor. Liquid reciprocity
The product flow from the reactor is composed of oil, solids, and gas.
For example, in a hot separator into two phases: overhead (top generation
Product) and the residue (bottom product). This residue is stored in the subsequent vacuum chamber.
Separated from the distillable oil (vacuum hydrogenation residue).
According to the invention, the so-called VCC process during hydrogenation (VEBA-Combi-Cracking
It is particularly advantageous to use the hydrogenation residue generated after the process). latest

Dr. Klaus Niem at the DGMK Conference held in 1950.
Ann) has published it under the title "New VCC Process". So here
, Will not be described in more detail.Example
In a large-scale VCC plant with a conversion rate of 95%, the input materials shown in Table 1 were processed.
Then, the products shown in Table 2 are produced. Table 3 shows the input materials, and the products.
Are detailed in Table 4. The solids separated in a vacuum chamber used according to the invention
The vacuum hydrogenation residue has the chemico-physical properties and particle size shown in Table 5, which
In addition, in a large-scale experiment at a coke plant, a mixture of the following components was added as input coal.
It was added as a binder to produce a coke for casting.
Low volatility coal with inferior carbonization characteristics (non-carbonized coal): 32.4% by weight
Medium volatile coal with excellent carbonization characteristics (excellent carbonized coal): 48.6% by weight
Coke powder: 14.0% by weight
Vacuum hydrogenation residue: 5% by weight
Table 6 shows the caking coal mixture and coke after the coking treatment for 33 hours.
Characteristics of the vacuum hydrogenation residue in accordance with the present invention.
The results (as shown in the right column in Table 6) and current technology (petroleum pitch as binder)
The obtained results (left column of Table 6) are compared.
The coking experiments were carried out in multiple furnaces of a large coke oven facility (type of furnace
: Otto, chamber width: 450 mm, chamber height: 5.1 m, chamber length:
13.1m, volume: 27.64m3). After this large-scale experiment,
Use a mixture and change the mixing ratio of the binder to 3 to 7% of the amount of anhydrous ashless input material.
I did a small experiment. These small-scale experiments were performed using conventional binders.
It was performed as an optimization experiment compared with.
The coke yield was determined by using the method of the present invention, as is apparent from Table 6.
I was able to increase.
The binder according to the invention contains very little polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
Absent.
