Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an image forming unit side from being thermally affected from a fixing device by communicating a duct composed of a partition plate provided between the image forming unit and the fixing device and the sidewall of the fixing device therewith, so as to forcibly exhaust air. CONSTITUTION:The duct 15 constituted by using the partition plate provided between the fixing device 8 and the image forming unit 1 and a part of the housing 12 of the fixing device 8 in common is provided. The duct 15 shields heat radiated from the fixing device 8 to the image forming unit 1. When the electrostatic photographic device works, the air in the fixing device 8 is sucked and discharged through a large number of air holes 17 provided on the sidewall 12a of the housing 12 by a discharge fan 16 provided on one side of the duct 15 and the air in a machine body flows into the fixing device 8 from the entrance 13 and exist 14 of the fixing device 8. 装置の略全長に沿うダクトを、少なくとも定着装置に連
通して設け、このダクトの端部に排気用のファンを設け
た構成となっている。

像を熱定着する定着装置8及び排紙トレー9が設けてあ

着する定着装置を配置してなる静電写真装置において、
画像形成ユニットと定着装置の間に、定着装置からの熱
を遮断する仕切り板を設けると共に、少なくともこの仕
切り板と定着装置の側壁とで定着装置の略全長に沿うダ
クトを、少なくとも定着装置に連通して設け、このダク
トの端部に排気用のファンを設けたことを特徴とする静
電写真装置。
