Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a toothbrush formed by providing a flocking base with many flocking holes formed to an approximately elliptic shape and fixing bundled hairs into the respective flocking holes by stoppers driven into the flocking holes in a minor axis direction. CONSTITUTION: The stoppers driven into the flocking holes 2 are capable of increasing the bundled hair quantity over the entire part and the bundled hair quantity particularly in the major axis direction of the flocking holes 2 even if the size thereof is not made larger than the size of the stoppers ordinarily used for the conventional toothbrushes. The toothbrush identical to the conventional toothbrushes in terms of manufacturing cost is obtainable without changing the specifications of a flocking machine. The toothbrush stiff in the direction where the bundled hair quantity is increased is obtd. and, therefore, the usability in meeting the ways of using the toothbrush is improved.
