2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, in a tenant building or the like, a so-called free access floor has been provided in which a wiring space for routing an electric power cable is provided between an underfloor slab and a floor so that floor wiring can be freely performed according to the layout of the room. The method is adopted. In this method, a power distribution branch device is provided at an appropriate position of the power cable under the floor, and a branch plug is inserted therein to branch the power supply line.

As a power distribution branching device used here, the one described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 4-223079 is conventionally known. As shown in FIG. 9, this is a spring-loaded terminal (not shown) that is connected by inserting the core wire 3a of the power cable 2 into the branch case 1 and connecting it.
And an outlet 4 for connecting a branching plug (not shown). In order to perform wiring using this branching device, the power cable 2 is cut to a length that matches the location where the branching device is installed, and the core wire 3a is exposed from the end of the power cable 2 and inserted into the branching device.

However, in the branching device having the above-described structure, in order to connect the power cable 2, the cable 2 is cut to a required size at the construction site, the outer jacket of the end portion is stripped off, and the internal cable 3 is removed. The four or four insulated wires 3 are exposed, and the insulation coating of each insulated wire 3 is stripped off to remove the core wire 3
It is necessary to carry out the troublesome work of exposing each a and exposing each core wire 3a to the branching device. Moreover,
In many cases, it is common to install branch devices intermittently in the underfloor wiring space and connect them with a power cable, so the above connection work should be performed twice for each branch device. It was necessary, and the actual situation was that the manpower and time required for the wiring work at the construction site would be considerable.

Next, an example of a procedure for wiring using the power distribution branching device 10 having the above-described configuration will be described. This example shows a procedure for factory-manufacturing the power cable 50 to which the power distribution branching device 10 is attached. First, according to the installation plan of the wiring device 16 on the floor, the total length of the power cable 50 used as a trunk line and the position where the distribution branching device 10 is installed are determined, and the power cable 50 is cut in advance to the total length. deep. In the place where the branching device 10 is installed in the power cable 50, the outer cover 54 is stripped off by a dimension about the entire length of the branching device 10 and the three insulated wires 51 to 53 are exposed separately. Then, the lid case 13 of the branch case 11 is opened, and each wire insertion passage 18 of the main body case 12 is opened.
Each of the insulated wires 51 to 53 is housed in.

The insulated wires 51 to 53 are connected to the terminals 2 respectively.
The insulated wires 51 to 53 are strongly pressed from above by a jig, a press, or the like, by placing them on the slit openings of the 0, 30, 40 pressure contact terminals 22, 32, 42. Then, the electric wires 51 to 53 are connected to the slits 2 of the press contact terminals 22, 32, and 42.
2a, 32a, 42a are press-fitted into the core wire 51 so that the edges on both sides of each slit break through the insulating coatings 51b to 53b.
It comes into contact with a to 53a. As a result, the insulated wires 51 to 53 are connected to the terminal fittings 20, 30, and 40, and are branched to the branch connection terminals 23, 33, and 43. Therefore, the main body case 12 is closed and fixed by the lid case 13. As described above, the required power distribution switch 1

As described above, according to this embodiment, it is not necessary to peel off the insulating coatings 51a to 53a of the insulated wires 51 to 53, and the insulated wires 51 to 53 are simply crimped to the pressure contact terminals 22, 32 ,.
The connection work is completed by pressing it against 42. Therefore, the work can be performed quickly. Of course, it is easy to connect all three insulated wires 51 to 53 at the same time depending on the jigs used to press the wires and the ability of the press machine. In that case, more efficient work is possible. Becomes In addition, such branch connection work is
Since it is possible to manufacture the electric power cable 50 in which a plurality of power distribution branch devices 10 are arranged as a harness by completing it in a factory where a large press machine can be used in advance, it is possible to use it at a construction site. The advantage is that the time and effort of the wiring work can be dramatically reduced.

(1) In the above embodiment, an example in which the power distribution branching device 10 is attached to the power cable 50 of a required length to form a factory-produced wire harness is shown. Needless to say, a field construction method may be adopted in which the power cable 50 is cut, the outer jacket 54 at a required location is stripped off, and the power distribution branching device 10 is attached thereto. Even in this case, each insulated wire 5 of the power cable 50
Since the connection work is completed by simply press-fitting the respective electric wires 51-53 into the respective pressure contact terminals 22, 32, 42 without performing the coating stripping work for 1 to 53, there is an effect that the construction efficiency is significantly increased. .

(2) In the above embodiment, the insulated wires 51-5 are used.
3 is press-fitted into the press-contact terminals 22, 32, and 42, and then the cover case 13 of the branch case 11 is closed. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the cover case is closed with the insulated wire being applied to the press-connect terminals. The electric wires may be collectively press-fitted into the press-contact terminals by applying a pressing force to the lid case.
Further, in this case, if the pressing protrusions that come into contact with the insulated wires 51 to 53 in the wire insertion passage 18 are provided on the back surface side of the lid case 13, the insulated wires 51 to 51 are contacted by the pressing protrusions.
It is also possible to press 53 into the press contact terminal to further speed up the work.

(3) The structure of the terminal fitting 10 is not limited to the above embodiment, and for example, like the terminal fitting 60 shown in FIG. 8, one pressure contact terminal 62 and two branch connection terminals are provided. The integral configuration of 63 and 63 has the advantage that the number of branch circuits can be increased.
