As interconnection terminals using electric wires inserted into such branch connectors, for example, there are known terminals as shown in a partially cutaway perspective view in FIG. 6 and a schematic front view in FIG. There is. However, since a reliable electrical contact cannot be obtained with such a connection by wrapping bare wires, it is not reliable as a semi-permanent electrical connection, and as shown in FIG . A space corresponding to the length l for wrapping to terminal A′ is
Since the terminal A' needs to be provided within A', the size of the terminal A' becomes larger by an amount corresponding to the wire wrapping part b, and accordingly, the size of the housing B' fitted into the mating housing C' also becomes larger. Furthermore, in the wrapping work process of the electric wire to the terminal A', the electric wire c, which has been cut to an appropriate length and stripped at both ends, is routed between the terminals to be connected that are press-fitted into the housing B'. Next, the process consists of wrapping the stripped bare wire c1 to the wrapping part of terminal A', and
When making a branch connection from one terminal to two terminals, it is necessary to perform a second wrapping after the first wrapping is completed, which makes the work process extremely complicated and reduces the number of wires to be cut. In addition, there were various problems such as the need for special tools for wrapping.

First, in FIG. 1, interconnection branch terminals A according to the present invention are branch terminals that are mutually connected by electric wires W and press-contacted into the housing, and a plurality of interconnection branch terminals A are arranged on the upper end of a conductive plate-like substrate 1. (Two in the figure) branched electrical contact parts 1a, 1b are formed, and an electrical contact part 1c is formed at the lower end of the substrate 1, and the base ends of each electrical contact part 1a, 1b, 1c are connected. The electric wire press-contact connection part 3 is formed on the upper edge 2a of the connection board part 2 of the board 1.

In this configuration, the electrical contact portions 1a and 1b formed at the upper end of the substrate 1 are provided from both ends of the connecting substrate portion 2 of the substrate 1 in a direction perpendicular to the upper edge 2a of the connecting substrate portion 2. The electrical contact portion 1c formed at the lower end is formed in the opposite direction to the electrical contact portions 1a and 1b formed from the center to the upper end of the lower edge 2b of the connection board portion 2. Two or more branched electrical contact portions formed in this manner can be formed at both the upper and lower ends of the substrate 1, but in this case, it is desirable to form them symmetrically and in a well-balanced manner with respect to the center of the connecting substrate portion 2. . Further, although the electrical contact portions at both ends of the substrate 1 are shown as male in the drawing, either one or both of the upper and lower ends may be female.

Next, the wire pressure welding connection part 3 is formed at the center of the upper edge 2a of the connecting board part 2, and is located at the opposite side edge of a U-shaped groove 3b bored perpendicularly to the upper edge 2a. It is formed by providing a cutting blade 3a. The distance between the cutting blades 3a is maintained at such a distance that the insulation coating of the insulated wire W press-fitted into the groove 3b is cut and the wire conductor is pressed between the cutting blades 3a. 5
The insulated wire W is inserted into the terminal insertion plate 4 of the housing.
This is a wire fixing protrusion for fixing the wire to the terminal insertion plate 4 on the front and rear sides of the wire pressure welding connection part 3.

Next, a pressing jig (not shown) is positioned on the wire pressure welding connection part 3 of the terminal A, and the wire W is pressed into the groove 3b.

In the connector of the present invention, the state in which the terminals A are connected to each other by pressure-welded wires W and inserted into the housing B is as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, and the connecting wires W are connected to the terminals of the housing B. Insertion plate 4
The terminals can be wired in an orderly manner close to the surface of the wire, and even when connecting a plurality of terminals to each other, they can be freely connected with a single wire. In addition, terminal A can shorten the length m required for wire connection, so
It is shown that by providing the projection 6 for restricting insertion of the mating housing C formed on the fitting inner wall of the housing B low, the fitting space between the housing B and the mating housing C can be reduced.

That is, the configuration of the interconnection branch terminal A 1 of this embodiment is basically the same as that of the terminal A described above, but the angle θ 1 of the tapered portion 2c formed at both ends of the lower edge of the connecting board portion 2 of the terminal is is formed so that θ 12 is slightly larger than the angle θ 2 of the taper 7a at both ends of the terminal insertion groove 7 formed in the terminal mounting plate 4, and the connecting board portion 2
By forming the angle θ 3 of the branch electrical contact portions 1a and 1b formed at the upper end with respect to the terminal insertion plate 4 to be slightly smaller than 90°, the electrical contact portions 1a and 1b provided together are The cutting blades 3a are formed to slightly widen toward the upper end, and the spacing between the cutting blades 3a formed in the grooves 3b of the wire pressure welding connection portion 3 is also slightly larger than the diameter of the bare conductor of the wire W.

Next, the entire terminal is pressed from above the upper edge 2a of the connecting board portion 2 using a pressing jig (not shown) (two-stage press-fitting). Then, the tapered part 2c of the connecting board part 2 of the terminal A1 comes into contact with the tapered part 7a of the terminal insertion groove 7, and as shown in FIG. The expansion of the parts is mutually reduced in the arrow direction, and the above angle θ 3 becomes θ 4 =90°, and the terminal A 1 is inserted into the terminal insertion groove 7 of the terminal insertion plate 4.

As explained in detail above, in the branch connector of the present invention, the interconnection branch terminal has electrical contact portions formed at both the upper and lower ends of the plate-like substrate, and the terminal consists of the electrical contact portion with the upper end branched. An electric wire pressure connection part is formed on the upper edge of the connecting board part of the electrical contact part, and a plurality of terminals are connected to each other via the pressure-connected electric wires, so that the terminals can be reliably connected to each other by the pressure connection of the electric wires. A semi-permanent connection is obtained. Furthermore, since the space occupied by the connecting wire is only the overlapped space when the wire is routed, the length of the terminal itself can be shortened, and the housing into which the terminal is inserted can also be made smaller. Furthermore, since the connection between the terminal and the wire is a pressure welding connection, it can be done extremely easily and quickly, and there is no need to strip the wire, wrap the wire to the terminal, or use a special tool for wrapping, which is required for the conventional wrapping connection. etc. are no longer necessary. Further, the number of wires to be connected between the terminals is also extremely small due to the fact that the terminals are branch terminals, and the work for cutting the wires is also reduced. Furthermore, the branch connector of the present invention provides many advantages such as the ability to easily automatically assemble the terminals to the housing.
