The ornament of the present invention for solving the above-mentioned problems is a noble metal or noble metal alloy ornament, wherein the surface is plated with the same noble metal or a noble metal alloy composed of the same noble metal. It is characterized by being applied. The noble metal is preferably Pt or Au, and the noble metal alloy is preferably a Pt alloy or Au alloy. The plating thickness is preferably 10 μm to 100 μm. The manufacturing method of the decorative article of the present invention for solving the above problems,
Processing a precious metal or precious metal alloy ornament, and then coating the surface of the ornament with an electrodeposition layer using the same precious metal plating bath or a precious metal alloy plating bath consisting of the same precious metal,
After that, it is characterized in that it is finished into a predetermined shape and characteristics. In this manufacturing method, the noble metal is preferably Pt or Au, and the noble metal alloy is preferably Pt alloy or Au alloy. In this manufacturing method, the thickness of the electrodeposition layer on the surface of the decorative article is preferably 10 μm to 100 μm. Furthermore, the finishing process in this manufacturing method is preferably at least one of hammering, heat treatment, and polishing. The reason why the thickness of the electrodeposition layer on the surface of the decorative article by the plating bath is preferably 10 μm to 100 μm is that the required hardness cannot be obtained if the thickness is less than 10 μm. This is because the productivity is deteriorated and the effect cannot be expected so much even if the thickness is increased.

As described above, in the decorative article of the present invention, the surface of the precious metal or precious metal alloy decorative article is provided with the electrodeposition layer by the plating bath of the same precious metal or the plating bath of the precious metal alloy composed of the same precious metal. Therefore, the high quality can be maintained without impairing the quality of the ornament, and the mechanical strength, in particular, the surface hardness becomes high, so that the flaw is hard to be formed and is hard to be deformed. Also,
The method for producing a decorative article of the present invention comprises processing a precious metal or precious metal alloy decorative article as described above, and then depositing the same precious metal plating bath or a precious metal alloy plating bath comprising the same precious metal on the surface of the decorative article. Since the electrodeposition layer is coated with, the surface has a higher hardness due to the electrodeposition layer, but the inside is not so high, and the processing to finish into a predetermined shape and characteristics is easy. Further, when the electrodeposited thickness by plating is 10 μm to 100 μm, a decorative article having a required hardness can be efficiently produced in a short time.

EXAMPLE A round tape having a width of 3.0 mm and a height of 1.5 mm made of the noble metals and noble metal alloys of Examples 1 and 2 shown in the left column of Table 1 below was prepared, and then cut into a length of 60 mm. After ring processing, they are brazed with the brazing materials shown in Table 1, respectively, and then the outer surface of the ring is electrodeposited using the plating bath shown in Table 1 to give a thickness of 50 μm and then polished. Finished and got a ring. On the other hand, a round tape with a width of 3.0 mm and a height of 1.5 mm made of noble metals and noble metal alloys of Conventional Examples 1 and 2 shown in the left column of Table 1 below was prepared, and then cut into a length of 60 mm to form a ring. Each of them was brazed with the brazing material shown in Table 1 and then polished to obtain a ring. When the appearance of the rings of Examples 1 and 2 and Conventional Examples 1 and 2 thus obtained were inspected and the hardness was measured, the results shown in the right column of Table 1 below were obtained.

As can be seen from Table 1 above, Examples 1-2
Although the rings of Conventional Examples 1 and 2 have neither cracks nor pinholes, the rings of Conventional Examples 1 and 2 have low hardness, whereas the rings of Examples 1 and 2 have high hardness and are flawed. You can see that it is difficult to deform. Although the above embodiment is a case in which the ornament is a ring, the present invention is not limited to this, and can also be applied to neck chains, accessories, watch frames, eyeglass frames and the like.

As can be seen from the above description, the decorative article of the present invention can maintain a high quality and has a long mechanical life because it has a high mechanical strength, especially a high surface hardness, is hard to be damaged, and is not deformed. Further, in the method for producing a decorative article of the present invention, since the surface of the processed decorative article is coated with the electrodeposition layer using a plating bath having the same composition, the surface becomes harder due to the electrodeposition layer, but the inside is not so high. Further, it is very easy to finish the product into a predetermined shape and characteristics, and when the electrodeposition thickness is 10 μm to 100 μm, it is possible to efficiently produce a decorative article having a required hardness in a short time.
