Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the aerosol hair-dressing agent composition containing succinylated carboxymethylchitosan, excellent in foam characteristics and hair touches, and capable of imparting a sufficient hair-styling property and a hair- holding property to the hair. CONSTITUTION: 0.01-5wt.% of succinylated carboxymethylchitosan and generally used hair cosmetic raw materials such as a coating film-forming polymer, an anionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a humectant, an alcohol, a stabilizer, a perfume, an antiseptic, and/or an oil are dissolved in water to prepare a raw solution, which is charged together with a propellant in a pressure-resistant container to prepare the aerosol hair-dressing agent. The addition of the succinylated carboxymethylchitosan improves foam characteristics such as foam texture, foam durability and form stretchability, hair touches such as wet touch, softness and gloss, and a hair- styling property.

The succinylated carboxymethyl chitosan used in the present invention is a compound represented by the chemical name N- (3-carboxypropanoyl) -6-O- (carboxymethyl) chitosan. For example, chitosan is carboxymethylated. After that, it can be easily produced by amidation with succinic anhydride.
