In such a conventional vibration isolator, since the outer cylinder 102 or the lid member 107 itself is bent and caulked and fixed, the outer cylinder 102 or the lid member 107 is made of a metal plate or the like. It must be made of a plastically workable material. Therefore, it is not possible to use a material such as a resin or a casting which is unsuitable for plastic working, which causes a problem such as complicating the manufacturing which prevents the weight reduction of the apparatus.

According to the above construction of the present invention, when the flange portion of the outer cylinder to be joined and the edge portion of the lid member are stacked, a plastically workable cylindrical caulking member separate from them is provided at both ends. Then, they are bent along the outer peripheries of the flange portion and the edge portion and fixed by crimping. Therefore, the flange portion and the edge portion are not plastically worked at the time of mounting, and thus, a material which is unsuitable for plastic working can be applied.

The outer cylinder 1 is opened downward in the figure by a recess 31, and a flange portion 11 projecting radially outward is integrally provided at the lower end of the outer cylinder 1. Further, a mounting piece 12 is integrally formed on the upper end of the outer cylinder 1 so as to project outward in the radial direction, and the mounting piece 12 mounts the device on the vehicle body side. The outer cylinder 1 is formed by resin molding. Further, the center member 2 is attached to a bracket on the engine side, for example, with a screw hole 21.

Further, the peripheral edge portion 51 of the elastic film 5 made of circular rubber is brought into contact with the lower surface 41a of the edge portion 41. Therefore, the lower surface 11a of the flange portion 11 is covered with the elastic film 5 via the edge portion 41. The peripheral edge portion 51 is abutted. As a result, the opening is closed by the elastic film 5, and the liquid is enclosed in the sealed space formed by the recess 31 and the elastic film 5 to form the liquid chamber 6.

A cup-shaped lid member 7 is disposed below the elastic film 5 in the figure. An edge 71 is formed on the peripheral edge of the lid member 7 toward the outside in the radial direction, and the edge 71 abuts the peripheral edge 51 of the elastic film 5 from below to cover the opening. An air chamber 8 is formed between the elastic film 5 and the lid member 7, and an air vent hole is formed in the lid member 7 as needed.

Further, the edge portion 71 is provided with a standing portion 72 which is bent upward so as to have a predetermined height. The upright portion 72 is located outside the elastic film 5 and its tip directly contacts the lower surface 11a of the flange portion 11, so that the lower surface 1 of the flange portion 11 is exposed.
The distance between 1a and the upper surface 71a of the edge portion 71 is defined as a predetermined distance. Therefore, by adjusting the height of the standing portion 72, the elastic film 5 located between the flange portion 11 and the edge portion 71 is adjusted.
It is possible to adjust the peripheral edge portion 51 so that it is sandwiched by the optimal clamping force. When the peripheral edge portion 51 is directly sandwiched between the flange portion 11 and the edge portion 71, or when the peripheral edge portion 51 is formed between the flange portion 11 and the edge portion 71 via the edge portion 41 of the throttle passage means 4.
In any case of sandwiching, the sandwiching force of the peripheral edge portion 51 can be adjusted by adjusting the height of the standing portion 72.

In such a vibration isolator, when the vibration of the engine is input, the vibration is transmitted to the elastic body 3 via the center member 2, whereby the elastic body 3 is elastically deformed and the pressure receiving liquid chamber 61. Scales. When the pressure receiving liquid chamber 61 expands or contracts,
The liquid inside moves back and forth between the pressure receiving liquid chamber 61 and the sub-liquid chamber 62 via the throttle passage 42, and the liquid resonates in the throttle passage 42, thereby generating a large damping force. This absorbs engine vibration.

In FIG. 2 (a), the caulking member 9 made of a plastically workable cylindrical metal plate has an axially central portion on the inner peripheral surface thereof which is in contact with the radial tip of the flange portion 11 of the outer cylinder 1. It is press-fitted so that it comes into contact with the caulking member 9
The end portion side above the central portion in the figure is bent toward the flange portion 11 side, whereby the caulking member 9 is attached to the outer cylinder 1 in advance. The caulking member 9 may be fixed to the outer cylinder 1 by a method such as adhesion or welding.

Then, the edge portion 41 of the throttle passage means 4, the edge portion 51 of the elastic film 5, and the edge portion 71 of the lid member 7 are sequentially stacked. At this time, the central portion in the axial direction on the inner peripheral surface of the caulking member 9 is configured to abut the radial tip of the edge portion 71 of the lid member 7.

Next, as shown in FIG. 2 (b), the caulking member is bent by bending the end portion of the caulking member 9 lower than the central portion in the drawing from the state of FIG. 2 (a) into an edge portion 71. The manufacturing according to No. 9 is completed. Both ends of the caulking member 9 are flange portions 1

Incidentally, FIG. 2 (c) is a modified example of this manufacturing. Unlike the one shown in FIG. 2 (a), the edge side of the caulking member 9 lower than the central portion in the figure is closer to the edge 71 side of the lid member 7. The caulking member 9 is attached to the lid member 7 in advance by being bent. Similarly, the flange portion 11, the edge portion 41 of the throttle passage means 4, the edge portion 51 of the elastic film 5, and the edge portion 71 of the lid member 7 are sequentially stacked, and in this state, the central portion of the caulking member 9 is located above the central portion of the drawing. By bending the end portion side to the flange portion 11, the flange portion 11 and the edge portion 71 are caulked and fixed.

In the above example, the outer cylinder 1 is made of resin, but it may be made of cast metal such as iron or aluminum, or other brittle materials, which reduces the weight of the device and the like. A wider variety of materials can be selected as appropriate in consideration of rust prevention, etc., and the degree of freedom in design can be increased. This also applies to the lid member 7 as in the outer cylinder 1.

1. An outer cylinder connected to one of the vibration generator and the vibration receiver, a center member connected to the other of the vibration generator and the vibration receiver, and between the outer cylinder and the center member. An elastic body interposed, a liquid chamber formed in a recess opening at one end of the outer cylinder, and an elastic film provided in the opening of the outer cylinder and forming a part of a partition of the liquid chamber. A vibration-damping device comprising: a lid member that covers the opening of the outer cylinder from the outside in the axial direction of the elastic film, wherein a flange portion that projects radially outward is provided at one end of the outer cylinder. An edge portion of the elastic film is provided between the flange portion and the edge portion of the lid member, and a cylindrical caulking member is provided radially outward of the flange portion and the edge portion of the lid member. The flange portion and the lid member by arranging and bending both ends of the caulking member. An anti-vibration device, characterized in that the edge portion is fixed by being sandwiched by the caulking member.
