Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the casting time of tea pot in the mold having a cavity in conformity to the teapot shape with spout and handle, wherein the connective portion of the body and handle in the mold being extruded which leads to a partition wall formation at the connective portion. CONSTITUTION:The upper 1 and lower 2 molds are assembled by way of the coupling device 7 so that the extruded parts 6 of each molds at the neck of handle 5a come into contact. The slip is introduced into the mold to form the solidified layer 10 by the water absorption into mold. Owning to the said extrusion 6, the solidified layers 10 at the neck of handle are compelled to join with each other to form the combined shell connecting body 3a and handle 5a because of the restricted cavity at the neck. Two molds are, then, separated to take out a body, and the burrs, formed around body 3, spout 4 and handle tip 12, are removed to provide the monolithic product.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a teapot, and more specifically, pouring sludge into a cavity of a casting mold to form a solidified layer on the inner wall surface of the cavity and discharging unsolidified sludge. The present invention relates to a so-called cast molding method in which the remaining solidified layer is used as a molded product.

2. Description of the Related Art Cavities are formed in cast products by discharging sludge. Therefore, when molding a teapot of the type with a handle protruding from the side surface of the body, if the body and the handle are integrally molded, the body and the cavity formed in the handle will communicate with each other, and hot water will flow into the cavity of the handle. There is a problem that it flows in, spills from the tip of the handle, or water stains adhere to the inside of the cavity. Therefore, conventionally, a body with a tea supply opening and a handle are generally formed separately, and as shown in FIG. 9, the handle is bonded to the side surface of the body after molding.

However, in the above-mentioned conventional molding method, since the body and the handle are molded separately,
Not only does it require two types of molds, but also the step of joining the handles, which not only complicates the work, but also causes the joint to be distorted due to the difference in shrinkage ratio, which tends to cause joint failure. was there. As a technique for solving this problem, as described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 16642/1989, a handle integrated casting mold is used to once form a molded product in which the inside of the body and the handle space are connected. After that, a method has been proposed in which the casting mold is brought into contact with the boundary between the handle and the body and the sludge is poured again to form a new partition, but this method requires pouring the sludge twice. Therefore, it is inefficient, and scratches are likely to occur due to the difference in shrinkage between the molded product formed first and the partition formed by the second pouring of slurry, resulting in poor yield.

A tea supply port (4a) and a handle (5a) are respectively connected to a). A convex portion (6) is integrally provided at the base end inside the handle portion (5a) of both molds, and the upper mold (1) and the lower mold (2) are provided at the outer edges of both molds. Fitting pieces (7), (7) ··· are provided for aligning when they are attached. Further, a sludge discharge hole (8) for discharging sludge is provided above the body portion (3a) of the upper mold (1) and the tea supply port portion (4a).

Next, the slurry prepared by mixing the dough and water
(9) was poured into the mold and left in that state for about 30 minutes (see FIG. 3). The casting mold made of gypsum has hygroscopicity and gradually absorbs the moisture of the nearby sludge (9) and hardens it, and eventually a layer (10) of solidified sludge is formed on the entire inner wall.
To form. At this time, when the inside of the grip portion (5a) is projected, the gap between the inner wall and the inner wall is narrowed by the convex portion (6), so the hardened layers (10) of the sludge stick to each other, and the body portion (3a) ) And the handle part (5a) are formed (see FIG. 4).

Was discharged (see FIG. 5), the upper mold (1) and the lower mold (2) were separated, and the sludge solidified product (11) laminated on the inner wall of the casting mold was removed (see FIG. 6). Then, the unnecessary protruding portion (12) formed above the body (3), the tea supply port (4) and the handle (5) was cut off with a razor or the like to obtain a molded product.

The obtained molded product is shown in FIG. Torso (3),
The tea supply port (4) and the handle (5) are integral with each other, and a hole (14) is formed at the base end of the handle (5) by the convex portion (6). A partition (not shown) that is integrated with the inner wall of the body (3) is formed at the boundary between the body (3) and the handle (5). Also,
A lid seat (13) for mounting a lid member is provided above the body (3).

Further, after drying the obtained molded product, a glaze was applied and baked. The fired product had no cracks, etc., and the body (3) and the handle (5) were also firmly bonded. Fuselage (3)
Since the partition that is integrated with the inner wall of the body (3) is formed at the boundary between the handle and the handle (5), hot water poured into the body (3) does not flow into the handle and spills from the outside. There was no.

In the above-mentioned embodiment, the convex portion has the upper mold (1) and the lower mold (2).
And the tips of both protrusions (6) are in contact with each other.
As shown in Fig. 8, a partition is formed in the middle to increase the strength without abutting the tips (see Fig. 8 (a)), or only the lower mold is provided with a depression on the lower surface to give an appearance similar to the conventional one. It can be appropriately changed by securing (see FIG. 8B) or vice versa, penetrating left and right (see FIG. 8C), forming a plurality of through holes, and the like. Further, the structure of the teapot can be provided with a tea strainer attachment portion, for example, and the split mold division mode is not limited to the embodiment.

According to the cast molding method of the present invention, a partition can be formed at the boundary between the handle and the body even if the body and the handle of the teapot are integrally formed without requiring special equipment.
Therefore, the number of steps is smaller than that of the conventional method, and the manufacturing time can be shortened significantly, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced without requiring many casting molds.
