軸(21)を後方に配置し、ベルト(23)によりスクリュ
ーオーガ(7)を直接駆動する。この場合において、エ
ンジンの冷却風(22)の方向を排塵、排稈と同方向とす
ることによって、オペレータ及びエンジン吸気が粉塵を
受けないようにする。又、エンジン(20)は機体の最後
端に位置しているので、機体前方に大きくオーバーハン
グした刈取部との重量バランスがとられる。
