Description
Claims (13)
- 1.ガラスを融解および清澄させるための融解および清澄タンクであって、上流 末端部、下流末端部、および上流末端部と下流末端部の間で融解および清澄タン クの長さに沿って伸びる対向する側壁を有する融解および清澄タンク、ガラスを さらに清澄させ、ガラスを製品形成手段に配送するための、融解および清澄タン クの下流末端部の下流にあり、下流末端部に接続されたフォアハース、 ガラスバッチ材料を融解および清澄タンク中に供給するための、融解および清澄 タンクの上流末端部にあるガラス原料投入機手段、 融解および清澄タンクの上流末端部の近くの、融解および清澄タンクの対向する 側壁に配置された酸素燃焼バーナー手段、および 融解および清澄タンクの下流末端部近くの、融解および清澄タンクの対向する側 壁の長さの約3分の1の、バーナー手段を備えていない部分 を含むことを特徴とする、ガラスを融解および清澄させるための炉。
- 2.融解および清澄タンクの下流末端部近くの、融解および清澄タンクの対向す る側壁の長さの約2分の1の部分がバーナー手段を備えていないことを特徴とす る請求項1の炉。
- 3.融解およひ清澄タンクの下流末端部近くの、融解および清澄タンクの対向す る側壁の長さの約3分の2の部分がバーナー手段を備えていないことを特徴とす る請求項1の炉。
- 4.対向する側壁の一方にある各酸素燃焼バーナー手段が、対向する側壁にある 各酸素燃焼バーナー手段からずらして配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1 の炉。
- 5.酸素燃焼バーナー手段が、融解および清澄タンクの上流末端部の壁に配置さ れていることを特徴とする請求項1の炉。
- 6.ガラス原料投入機手段が、融解および清澄タンクの上流末端部の壁に配置さ れていることを特徴とする請求項1の炉。
- 7.炉がEガラス炉であり、製品形成手段が繊維製造装置であることを特徴とす る請求項1の炉。
- 8.炉が全体的に酸素燃焼バーナー手段により加熱されることを特徴とする請求 項1の炉。
- 9.ガラスを融解および清澄させるための融解および清澄タンクを有し、前記融 解および清澄タンクが上流末端部、下流末端部、および上流末端部と下流未端部 の間で融解および清澄タンクの長さに沿って伸びる対向する側壁を有し、さらに ガラスをさらに清澄させ、ガラスを製品形成手段に配送するための、融解および 清澄タンクの下流末端部の下流にあり、下流末端部に接続されたフォアハース を有する炉の中でガラスを融解および清澄させる方法であって、ガラスバッチ材 料を、融解およひ清澄タンクの上流末端部で融解および清澄タンクの中に供給す ること、融解および清澄タンクの上流末端部に近い加熱区域に配置された酸素燃 焼バーナー手段により与えられる熱でガラスバッチ材料を融解させること、およ び ガラスバッチ材料のガラスヘの清澄化を、追加の熱を与えるための酸素燃焼バー ナー手段を有していない清澄区域で続行させるが、前記清澄区域が、融解および 清澄タンク中の、融解および清澄タンクの下流末端部に近い加熱区域の下流に配 置され、融解および清澄タンクの長さの少なくとも約3分の1伸びていることを 特徴とする方法。
- 10.清澄区域が、融解および清澄タンクの長さの少なくとも約2分の1伸ひて いることを特徴とする請求項9の方法。
- 11.清澄区域が、融解および清澄タンクの長さの少なくとも約3分の2伸びて いることを特徴とする請求項9の方法。
- 12.バッチ材料がEガラスバッチ材料であり、製品形成手段が繊維製造装置で あることを特徴とする請求項9の方法。
- 13.炉が全体的に酸素燃焼バーナー手段により加熱されることを特徴とする請 求項9の方法。
