By the way, as described above, by polishing the surface of the propeller mounted on the stern with a power-type polishing tool from the scaffolding inside the dock, many conventional means for removing marine deposits such as barnacles from the propeller surface are used. It requires time and effort, which results in high cost.

Therefore, in small boats, antifouling paint is applied to the propeller to prevent the adhesion of living things, but it is unreliable and has a life of about 1 to 2 years. You will rely on the means of using a polishing tool.

In the above-described marine propeller cleaning device of the present invention, when the ship is in a ballast state, trim of the hull is adjusted to expose the upper part of the stern propeller to the surface of the water, and the turning gear rotates the propeller to rotate the propeller above the propeller. The propeller blades are washed with high-pressure water ejected from the left and right nozzles. At that time, if one of the two blade surfaces of each propeller blade with a twist is washed by the port side nozzle,
The other blade surface will be cleaned by the starboard side nozzle.

The use of this device does not require the dock of the hull, so it is possible to perform small-scale cleaning of the propeller, and it is relatively easy to remove the propeller when organisms are attached to it or immediately after the attachment of organisms. Cleaning work will be performed in this state.

With the above-described configuration, when the propeller 8 is washed, trimming of the hull A in the ballast state is performed to expose the upper portion of the propeller 8 to the sea surface, and then the propeller 8 is rotated by a turning gear (not shown), High-pressure water from the nozzle 1 is sequentially sprayed onto each propeller blade. At that time, when one of the blade surfaces of each of the twisted propeller blades is washed by the port 1 nozzle 1, the other blade surface is washed by the starboard nozzle 1 .

As described in detail above, according to the marine propeller cleaning device of the present invention, a pair of left and right nozzles are attached to the hull so that the jet ports are respectively directed to the left and right nozzle blades of the propeller above the propeller mounted on the ship. With a simple structure in which a high-pressure water source is connected to the nozzle, cleaning work on both blade surfaces of each twisted propeller blade is easy and efficient without the need for docking vessels or preparation of polishing tools. There is an advantage that you can do well.
