2. Description of the Related Art Various types of semipermeable membrane modules, which are the heart of reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration devices, are used depending on the application, and one of them is a hollow fiber type membrane. The module has a length of 100 to 2000 mm and an outer diameter of 0.02 to 2 mm.
It contains tens to tens of thousands of hollow fibers at about φ, and is widely used in various fields because of its advantages such as compactness and small priming volume. As a method for producing such a hollow fiber membrane module, generally,
A step of filling a hollow fiber bundle into a cylindrical case, a step of cutting the hollow fiber bundle to a length corresponding to the depth of a temporary cap using the hollow fiber bundle longer than the end of the case, and a case including the hollow fiber bundle With the end and the temporary cap in close contact with each other, first of all, a step of curing only the end of the hollow fiber bundle with a resin in the first step, and then a step of sealing between the case end of the second step and the hollow fiber. After curing, the temporary cap is removed, and the end of the adhesively sealed hollow fiber bundle protruding from the case is cut to open the hollow fiber.

In the course of such a manufacturing process, a problem may occur in which the first-stage resin comes off the temporary cap before the second-stage resin cures.
In this case, there is no hollow fiber bundle end portion in the temporary cap, and even if the temporary cap portion is cut after curing, the hollow fiber cannot be completely opened, resulting in a defective product. This is due to the fact that a material that does not adhere to the resin easily is used as the temporary cap member to remove the temporary cap after adhesive sealing, and the specific gravity of the adhesive part containing the hollow fiber in the first stage. However, the specific gravity is lighter than that of the second-stage resin, and it is possible that the second-stage resin floats the first-stage sealed portion. In order to prevent such trouble, for example, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 61-171503, a method is known in which the specific gravity of the first-stage bonded portion is increased to prevent the floating. However, in this method, a metal plate is put in the cut surface of the yarn bundle to increase the specific gravity, and since the hollow fiber is opened, the metal plate becomes an obstacle when removing the first-stage adhesive portion, etc. There was a problem that the work process became complicated.

In view of such a situation, the present inventor has diligently studied, and as a result, by forming a recess on the inner side surface of the temporary cap to be used, the first-stage resin in which the end of the hollow fiber bundle is sealed The second step resin can be prevented from wrapping around the bottom of the hollow fiber bundle, and the hollow fiber bundle ends can be prevented from floating up.The first step resin wraps around the recessed part of the temporary cap and hardens to be fixed to the temporary cap and lift up The inventors have found that the above can be prevented and have completed the present invention. That is, the present invention is directed to a case end in the production of a hollow fiber type membrane module in which a hollow fiber bundle is filled in a tubular case and a space between the case end and the hollow fiber end is sealed with a resin. In a temporary cap for sealing a hollow fiber bundle of a part, a side wall of a space for accommodating an end of the hollow fiber bundle protruding from an end of the case to be sealed has a recess. For temporary caps. Further, in the present invention, a hollow fiber bundle is inserted into a case, the temporary cap for sealing is attached to an end portion of the case, and only the end portion of the hollow fiber bundle is previously cured with a resin in the temporary cap. After that, the case end and the hollow fiber end are bonded and cured between the ends, and then the temporary cap for sealing is removed.
Manufacturing method of the package. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail.

The size of the recessed portion on the inner surface of the temporary cap, which is the point of the present invention, may be any size. However, if the size is too small, the resin does not get caught in the recesses, and the effect of the present invention cannot be obtained. On the other hand, if the size is too large, it becomes difficult for the temporary cap to come off from the bonded portion. Therefore, as a preferable size, the total volume of all the recessed portions is 0.01
The optimum range is ˜100 cm 3 , more preferably 0.1 to 10 cm 3 .

In the present invention, in order to improve the usage of the present temporary cap, the present temporary cap is constituted by two members as a preferable mode. Since the connecting portion is in contact with the concave portion on the side surface, the resin remaining in the concave portion can be easily removed when the temporary cap is removed from the adhesive portion. Further, any material may be used for the temporary cap. For example, polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonate, polyvinyl alcohol
And polysulfone, fluorine resin, iron, aluminum and the like. In general, a resin that is not affected by the resin used for bonding the temporary cap and the end portion of the hollow fiber and is difficult to bond to the resin is suitable.

Operation: Eight recesses 2 are made in the lower part of the temporary cap 1 divided into two parts as shown in FIG. 1, and the upper part 3 of the two-part temporary cap shown in FIG. 2 is overlapped and fixed as shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 4, the upper part 3 and the lower part 1 are assembled, and a predetermined amount of adhesive is put in the lower part 1 and the upper part 3 of the temporary cap, which are entirely fixed by a cylindrical fixing frame (not shown), and spread evenly on the bottom part. After
The end of the hollow fiber bundle 4 is gently dipped, and the adhesive is cured while the temporary cap is in close contact with the end of the case 5. The adhesive in the temporary cap is squeezed into the temporary cap recess 2 of FIG. 1, and after the hollow fiber bundle 4 is dipped in the adhesive, the adhesive of FIG.
By curing while holding the upper part with the temporary cap as shown in, the floating of the hollow fiber bundle end clogging part due to the difference in specific gravity between the adhesive and the second-stage adhesive,
It is possible to completely prevent the hollow fiber bundle end clogging portion, which the hollow fiber bundle receives as it tries to spread, from being pulled up.

(Example 1) A polypropylene hollow fiber bundle having separation performance (outer diameter 300 μm, inner diameter 240 μm) was bundled into 40,000 bundles, and an inner diameter of 82 mmφ and outer diameter of 90 mm was obtained.
It is inserted into a cylindrical case made of polysulfone of φ, length 1,070 mm, and cut so that it is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the yarn bundle at a portion 1.5 cm longer than the end of the case. Figure 1
With the shape shown in Fig. 3, the total volume of the recesses is 0.3c.
Epoxy adhesive is supplied to the bottom of the temporary cap having a recess of m 3 and spread evenly, then the hollow fiber end is sunk into the temporary cap to bring the case and the temporary cap into close contact with each other. Adhesive sealing was performed. After the curing, the same operation was performed on one side, and it was set in a centrifugal sealer, and adhesive sealing was performed using an epoxy adhesive as the second-stage adhesive. After curing, the module is removed from the centrifugal seal device, first the lower part (bottom) of the temporary cap as shown in FIG. 1 is removed from the adhesive, and then the upper part of the temporary cap in FIG. 2 is a cured adhesive formed with a recess. I folded it and took it off. When ten modules were produced in this manner, no floating of the adhesive at the end of the hollow fiber bundle was observed.
