【発明の詳細な説明】 本案は、ユニフロー型エンジンの吸気系に、制御弁を設
ける点を特徴とする4サイクルエンジンに関するもので
ある。本案の行程を説明すると、ピストン下死点付近で
制御弁が開き、吸気口から吸気がシリンダ内へ入りま
す。次にピストンは上昇し、吸気口を閉じて圧縮行程に
入ります。そして、上死点付近で爆発し下死点まで膨張
行程となります。膨張行程時制御弁は、吸気系への逆流
を防ぐために閉じます。次に排気弁が開き、上死点まで
排気行程となります。上死点付近で排気弁は閉まりピス
トンはシリンダー内の温度を下げながら下降します。本
案は、以上のような構造なので、シリンダーヘッドには
吸気弁が不要になり、そのスペースに点火プラグや燃料
噴射弁の増設が可能になります。これによってシリンダ
ー内の均一燃焼が可能になりNOX・HCが減少しま
す。又、圧縮比〈膨張比となるので、熱効率が向上し、
省エネルギー・CO2減少にも役立ちます。更に吸気口
に2サイクルエンジンの排気口に多用されている可変装
置を応用すれば、圧縮比や出力の制御が可能になり、よ
り効率の高いエンジンが可能になります。特に吸気口の
