ことを特徴とするひだ折りフィルタエレメントである。

レメントの目的、用途により任意に変更し得る。この山
部形成用折筋2aと谷部形成用折筋3aとの間には、山部形
成用折筋2a上の一点から谷部形成用折筋3aに向かって折
返谷ひだ形成用折筋4aと折込山ひだ形成用折筋5aが形成
され、三角形の折込部6が形成される。該三角形の折込
部6の一辺をなす折込ひだ形成用折筋7aはひだの折曲に
より山部を形成することになる。三角形の折込部6は濾
材の短手方向(本体高さ方向)の両側に形成される。そ
の位置は必要に応じて決定し得、また、短手方向におい
て3個以上設けてもよい。しかして、各折筋に従い屈曲
してひだを形成し、これを巻回すれば、第1図に示すよ
うな中空の筒状体本体が形成される。すなわち、折返谷
ひだ(4)と折込山ひだ(5)により囲繞される三角形
の折込部6によって、交互に連続する山部(2)と谷部
(3)の短手方向間の二点から本体内周側に向かって斜
状に伸びるひだ群8が形成される。なお、本実施例では
濾材1の短手方向の端部に折返し部9を形成してある
が、該端部の処理は特に限定されるものではなく、折返
し部9にさらにひだ折り加工を施したり、あるいはカッ
ト加工を施したりしてもよい。
