Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily manufacture the spectacle temple which is impressively decorated by coating the front end part of a mandrel with a coating material after brazing a metallic decoration piece to the front end part, and cutting the part of the mandrel part of necessary length projecting forward from the brazed part of a hinge piece together with the front-side part of the decoration piece and the rear-side part of the coating material. CONSTITUTION:The metallic decoration piece 2 is brazed to the top surface part of the front end part of the mandrel 1, and the hinge piece 3 is brazed to the reverse surface part of the front end part of the mandrel 1 a little inside from the front end of the mandrel 1. The decoration piece 2 is formed in a T shape having the wide rear end part projected, and brazed to the top surface part of the mandrel 1 so that the wide part is forward-looking and the width direction is vertical. The mandrel 1 is exposed on the top surface 7 of the decoration piece 2 and covered with resin 9. After the resin coating, the part of the mandrel 1 which projects from the brazed part of the hinge piece 3 is cut nearby the brazed part together with the front-side part of the decoration piece 2 and the front-side part of the coating material.

However, when fixing the decorative piece with a screw in this way, there is a problem that the attachment state of the decorative piece becomes unstable due to the loosening of the screw. In addition, the eyeglass vine has a problem that the seat plate and the screw head are exposed and the appearance is not good. In addition, it is necessary to form a recess for fixing the decorative piece or fix the decorative piece with a screw by applying a seat plate, which requires a lot of man-hours and raises a problem of cost increase.

In particular, as shown in FIG. 13, when the metal surface g is exposed over the entire vertical width of the front end of the spectacle temple, FIG.
As shown in FIG. 7, when the spectacle temple attached to the side edge portion h of the spectacle front frame is in a developed state, the metal surface g exposed at the front end contacts the end surface i of the side edge portion of the spectacle front frame. . In this way, the metal surface g extending over the entire width of the front end of the spectacle temple contacts the end surface i of the side edge portion, so that the front end of the spectacle temple is prevented from being worn, so that there is an advantage in that the temple deployment state is unlikely to change. However, once the looseness of the screw causes looseness in the mounting state of the decorative piece, there is a problem that the deployed state of the eyeglass temple is instantly destabilized. Even if the screw was retightened and could be temporarily returned to its original state, it was easy to loosen again, and such instability could not be resolved.

In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 6, the core metal 1 is resin-coated 9 by exposing the surface 7 of the decorative piece 2. FIG. 2 shows a covering material 10 used for the covering, which is a rod-shaped body made of a resin (including various synthetic resins) forming a substantially outer shape of a resin covering portion of an eyeglass temple to be formed,
It is formed to be slightly longer than the length of the core metal. And
The pedestal portion 11 of the hinge piece 3 is provided on the rear surface of the front end portion.
A back side notch 12 for introducing (FIG. 1 (B)) is provided, and a front side notch 13 for introducing the decorative piece 2 is provided on the surface portion of the front end portion thereof. See also Figure 3
Shows a holding mold 15 for holding the covering material 10. The holding mold 15 is composed of a lower mold 16 that forms the front surface of the spectacle temple and an upper mold 17 that moves up and down to form the back surface of the vine, and by closing the mold as shown in FIG. The housing portion 19 having one end in the length direction opened is formed. In the present embodiment, the lower mold 16 is formed to be slightly longer than the upper mold 17 and protrudes from the open end of the accommodating portion.

In the present invention, first, as shown in FIG. 4, with the covering material 10 in a softened state in which it is heated to a required temperature, the back side notch 13 is directed upward and the front end is positioned on the opening 20 side of the accommodating portion. , And put it in the accommodating portion 19. Then, the cored bar 1 is placed on the cored bar cradle upper surface 21 connected to the opening 20 with the cored bar rear end 22 facing the opening 20 and the hinge piece 3 facing upward.
The height of the cored bar 1 in this mounted state is set so as to be substantially at the center of the coating material 1 in the thickness direction.

Thereafter, the mandrel 1 is pressed by the pressing member 23 which is vertically arranged in parallel with the mandrel, and
The core metal 1 heated to a predetermined temperature by a heater,
The pushing member 25 moves the holding member 15 toward the covering material 10 held by the holding die 15. At that time, the pressing member 23 is sequentially raised so as not to collide with the hinge piece 3 and the pressing member 25. By this movement, the core metal 3 is pushed into the covering material 10 accommodated in the accommodating portion, the hinge piece does not abut against the upper die, and as shown in FIG. 13 and the hinge piece 3 is housed in the back notch 12 to complete the covering, and the eyeglass temple 26 shown in FIGS.
Is obtained.

After the resin coating as described above, a metal core portion 1a (FIG. 8) protruding forward from the brazed portion of the hinge piece is provided at a portion in the vicinity of the brazed portion and on the front side portion 2a of the decorative piece 2. And with the front part 9a of the dressing (FIG. 8). As a result, as shown in FIG. 9, the surface 7 of the decorative piece 2 is exposed on the surface side of the spectacle temple, and the end surface (metal surface) 30 of the decorative piece is exposed on the front side portion of the spectacle temple over the entire vertical width thereof. An eyeglass vine of a predetermined length can be obtained. 6 to 7, the cutting line 31 is shown by a one-dot chain line.

FIG. 10 shows a developed state of the spectacle temple attached to the side edge portion 32 of the spectacle front frame 31 via the hinge piece 3. In the unfolded state, the decorative piece end surface (metal surface) 30 exposed over the entire vertical width of the front end of the spectacle temple comes into contact with the end surface 33 of the side edge portion. In this way, since the metal surface 30 of the spectacle temple contacts the end surface 33 of the side edge portion, abrasion of the front end of the spectacle temple is prevented, and therefore the opening angle in the deployed state of the temple is unlikely to change.

As described above, the present invention is configured as described above, and thus, compared to the conventional method of cutting the concave portion on the resin-coated spectacle temple and fixing the decorative piece fitted thereinto with the screw, Vines can be manufactured easily and efficiently. Further, since the screws are not fixed, unlike the conventional case, the screw head and the seat plate are not exposed, and it is possible to obtain the spectacle temple excellent in aesthetics in which only the metal decorative surface is exposed. Further, since the decorative piece is completely integrated with the cored bar, there is no possibility of rattling in the attached state of the decorative piece as in the conventional eyeglasses vine for fixing the decorative piece with screws.

Particularly, when the shape and size of the decorative piece are set so that the end surface (metal surface) of the decorative piece is exposed over the entire width of the front end of the spectacle temple, the spectacle temple is attached to the side of the spectacle front frame. When the edge is hinged, the metal surface comes into contact with the end surface of the side edge in the deployed state of the temple. Therefore, even if the eyeglass temple is repeatedly opened and closed, wear of the front end of the eyeglass temple is prevented, and there is no fear that the opening angle of the eyeglass temple in the deployed state becomes unnecessarily large. Further, as described above, since there is no possibility of rattling in the attachment state of the decorative piece, this stable vine expanded state is maintained.
