種類以上を合計で0.01重量%未満だと硬さの向上効果が
薄く、1重量%を超えるとAgまたはAgCu合金の高
品位又は特性を損なうものである。なおSi、Ti、Z
r、HfやY、Sm、Eu、Erなどの希土類元素であ
れば、1種類に限らず2種類以上でも同様に改善効果を
有するものである。また、Y、Sm、Eu、Erの他S
c、La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Pm、Gd、Tb、D
y、Ho、Tm、Yb、Luの希土類元素でも同様の改
善効果を有するものである。また、Si、Ti、Zr、
Hf、希土類元素の脱酸作用から鋳造時の湯流れが改善
される他ピンホール等の材料欠陥の無い良好な材料とな

ず、実施例としてAgまたはAgCu 7.5重量%、Ag
Cu10重量%に各々Hf、Y、Sm、Eu、Erをそれ
ぞれ4重量%含有した材料を母合金として、高周波真空
溶解炉にて溶解鋳造して所定の含有量0.01重量%、 0.2
重量%、1 重量%の組成とし、次いで伸線加工、成形加
工して加工率90%のかまぼこ状テープとした後、切断
し、指輪状に成形した。また、従来例として純度99.9%
の純AgおよびAgCu 7.5重量%(Si、Ti、Z
r、Hf、希土類元素を含まない)を溶解、鋳造、伸線
加工、成形加工して加工率90%のかまぼこ状テープとし
た後、切断し、指輪状に成形した。然して、上記実施
例、従来例の指輪状成形品を、Ag系のろう材にてろう
付け温度 620℃でろう付けした後、仕上げ研磨して指輪
とした。然して、実施例においては従来例に比べろう付
け後の機械的強度が良好であることが確認された。そし
て、ろう付け前及びろう付け後の硬さを含有量 0.2重量
%について調べた結果、従来例Agにおいてはろう付け
前はHv90〜 100であったのが、ろう付け後はHv35〜
45に軟化していた。また、従来例AgCu 7.5重量%に
おいてはろう付け前はHv 140〜 150であったが、ろう
付け後はHv75〜85に軟化していた。これに対して実施
例においては、下記表1に示す如くの硬さを維持してい
た。また仕上げ外観品質検査の結果、実施例の色合い、

付け温度のろう材を使用できることから、融点の高いろ
う材なども使用可能となり、ろう材の選択巾が広くなる
