Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a briquette body having an excellent deoxidization effect without requiring a molten metal operation by crushing aluminum scrap to small pieces, removing coating materials, etc., sticking thereto, then incorporating a flux into the assembly of these small pieces and pressing and molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The aluminum scrap collected by recycling is crushed to suitable sizes and the coating materials and other impurities sticking to the respective small pieces are removed. The flux 2 is mixed into the assembly of the resulted pure aluminum small pieces and the mixture is pressed and molded to a prescribed shape by a press machine, by which the briquette body 1 is obtd. As a result, the briquette body l having a high sp. gr. of about 2.6g/cm<3> is obtd. Since there is no dissolving stage in production stages, the working time is shortened and the efficiency is enhanced. This flux-contg. aluminum deoxidizing briquette exhibits the excellent deoxidation effect in a refining operation.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention is to crush aluminum scraps collected by recycling into small pieces, remove paints and other impurities adhering to each small piece, and then to a flux of pure aluminum small pieces. (2) is mixed and pressed into a press to eliminate the melting step
The present invention relates to a flux-containing, aluminum deoxidizing briquette, which achieves deoxidation, degassing, improvement in fineness of metal structure and low cost.

However, this has the following drawbacks. (B) About 10% of so-called burned dust was generated in the process of melting aluminum, and it was treated as industrial waste, but it was also unsuitable for environmental hygiene. (B) The inclusion of the dissolution process in the middle of the production process also prolongs the manufacturing time, is inefficient and uneconomical. The present invention has been made to eliminate these drawbacks.

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the present invention. (B) The aluminum scraps collected by recycling are crushed to an appropriate size and the paint and other impurities adhering to each small piece are removed to form an aggregate of pure aluminum small pieces. (B) A briquette body (1) is provided by mixing a flux (2) into a pure aluminum piece assembly, pressing it with a press, and molding it into a predetermined shape. (C) Generally, the specific gravity of aluminum is 2.7 g / c
but it is said to m 3, in the briquette product of peer others 2.3g / cm 3 or 2.4g / cm 3 in many cases. However, the present invention has achieved a specific gravity of 2.6 g / cm 3 which is higher than that of other companies in this implementation. INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The present invention has the above-mentioned structure, and when it is used in the process of melting work in a steel maker and an aluminum casting maker, it is automatically agitated without performing a molten metal work (deoxidation, degassing, refining of metal density). The deoxidizing effect can be enhanced.
