するに当り、ポンプの水準が水路床から比較的高い位置
にあるため強制排水時において必要水没深が深く、内水
側水位を低く下降させることが困難となるため外水側水
位との水位差(揚程)は減少し充分に排水されないとい
う問題点があり、低地排水に適用し難くかつ自然排水時
に扉体を上昇させると内水側のスクリーンが放置された
ままとなり円滑な水の流れが阻害されるという問題点が
ある。
